Im sp farming a new str char, however i dont know if i want to use glaive or bow. AFAIK, pure str glaive is best glaive build, and a hybrid bow is the best bow build, so those are my two main focuses, however im open to suggestions.

I want to do damage and still be able to live. I already have a hybrid s/s nuker that godlike with no sosuns as it is, so i want a new char. CHINESE! i already have a euro so no euro suggestions even if hey do pwn.

Glaive has tons of stuns, tons of hp, and ghost spear = the smex

Bow is ranged, new knockback is awsome because it saves your life 1 million times. IT also stuns, plus the attacks have crit increase, and i've heard that it does more damage than glaiver.

So im asking you, as a pro hybrid s/s nuker, and a noob str person, what do you suggest?

Every time i think i know what im doing, i see a payer, or a movie, or someone talking about another build, and im like ooo dam bow is awsome, or ooo dam glaive is awsome.

Also, for the glaiver / bower pros out there, try to think about lvl 90 since that is what im planning for and wont have much lvl 80 time most likely.

SO, lets assume lvl 80 fully farmed glaiver and bower, which would you choose? i just broke 200k sp this morning and before long ill be power lvling myself up to 72ish where i should be 80 in no time with a 0 gap.

Also think about the lvl 90 cap, since that is what i will most likely participate the most in.

thats what i was thinking...but in generall pure str bow seems rather weak except on the crits.

thats why the bow has skill that improve your critical, so critical attacks happen often. for example, the first attack the bow gets *devil series* gets a bonus 10 to your critical. so if you happen to find a good bow with 10+ critical and use the devil series, you are now have 20 critical. thats why the bow was upgraded. now bows have the highest chance to do critical attacks. and they also get a knock-back skill *the 5-arrow combo* which throws the enemy farther away from you, so they basically can't attack you often. only difference with the bows attack is, How long the char holds the arrow before he lets go think about it.

with glavie, the char swings his glavie or throws if diffrently

this decision is really really hard, because i KNOW i want a str char.....or mostly str, but i want a bower AND a glaiver. Glaive has massive stuns, super hp, and mars which is HOT!

Bow stuns, kbs like crazy, and attacks from a range. Ive seen the new glaive skills, but what about bow skills...any one have anything on new bow skills?

Bow skills are just basically cast skills, pretty dull IMO.
However, Pure STR glaive is a boring build too...
It's all up to you I guess... But i'm gonna suggest a Hybrid STR bow though.
Not sure about the ratio though.

anyways back to your Q. Think about this. Is it really worth to be a bow user ? i meen because you got no defense and you only get the awesome skills at 70+, you have to waste countless money on pots. You NEED to have lots of gold in order to pull it off in lower lvs. bow is an all around weapon.

unlike the glavie. with the glavie you get more hp then the bow. more power. you still do massive damage w/o critical. most people waste money on pots to replenish their magic so they can do more magic attacks. with a glavie, you got the power already. you really dont need skills to grind unless its a giant, party, ext. if you can wait 4 sec, you really end up saving money that you can spend on more powerful items.

just what i came to notice. keep in mind all of this is an opinion

LoL me too.

But just stick with glaive. They are still the kings of pvp. Good offense, good defense, you can't go wrong with a glaiver.

Also they are less dependant on good gear. Good gear is just icing on the cake for a glaiver.

lol...i just watched vids of thenew glaive skills and the new bow skills.....now im 10000x more confused! although it seems like glaive is winning out here....i have like a month to decidde before my guy is done farming and ready to use real skills, HOPEFULLY by then i can make up my dam mind.

happens to the best of us. you think you are going to like your build or gear or whatever you got, then you see some1 else with cool stuff. next thing you know you are back at lv 1 with a new char

dude all i can say is go to youtube , type in Silkroad Undutchable (he is also on these forums) , watch his videos, u will see him own STR glaivers easily

pure str bow is the way to go, trust me, its a good decision.

bow wont be as good untill lvl 73-76 because you wont have knockback or stun untill then...but glaive has it from a low lvl

I would go for a heavy str hybrid.

I used to be Glavie a while back...and it got so boring! I changed to Bow - faster grinding, and more fun

Already we all watched many a lot of vedio show pure str bow against pure str glavier ... before the update it was glavier who win most time ...
After Euro update with +73 bow skills you can see both bow and glavie can win .. I think the chance is 1 : 1 when pure str bow fight pure str glavier .. and IMO both are boring ..

BUT ,
Did you watched : kaws(undutchable) ? he was 80:80 bower
Did you watched liquidsmooth ? he was hybird str bower
Did you watched them own all other builds ? both builds are unique and can own pure str glaviers easily ...( and the prove is that we didn't hear about full str glavier or full str bower own hybird bow before .. and no vedio in YouTube show us that ) ...

So hybird bow is more logical and much better .. and ask all players who played as pure str and switched (or restart) to Hybird ..

And after all .. don't try to play the best charecter .. it's a game .. and too long game .. so just choose the build you love and play the style you love and don't care about who is the best and who is the worst ... we are humans not machines and we can choose the worst and still enjoy it very well .. I know many players did a pure int bower (the worst build as people say ) and they love these charecters too much and see it'a a very funny .. lol
