spear nuker will do more dmg, but you lose the block of the shield.

Just your choice. I think that if you don't care about the skills a highly based int hybrid spear would do great. Probably better than a pure int s/s. But I don't like the spear skills, so that's why I've made the choice of being a pure int s/s.

And yes, be prepared to die a couple of times (or a few more) as a pure int spear user...

Either build u use its all about how u use them. At uniques, like yarkan, im pretty sure either build ur gonna be running away at one point

When it comes to pvp and wars, i noticed that snow shield is very important for either s/s or sword. I like spear and the stun personally, but i've been killed by s/s pure ints. Then again i've killed them also ^^
But like was said, spear does more dmg than sword, just less defense.

S/S Will do better in both imo, because on like Yarkan, if you get mobbed, you have block and more defense, and you have a chance to run away/kill them.

If you get mobbed with a spear nuker at like Yarkan, you will do more damage, but 2 crits and your probably down.

Oh, and in PVP, KD is very important.

S/S Is best

I agree, but it takes so long to lvl with S/S, and does so less damage, using spear is worth it.

s/s if u wanna b full int an spear if hybrid but for hybrid u need a lot of gold... also if u wanna pvp with a full int dont do it til lvl 42 cuz u jus get pwned b4 that

hmm lets look at this one.

Pure Int Spear:
You do the most damage when it comes to nukes due to your spear. You die VERY FAST because you have little hp (even with the passive skill). sure you can survive a few hits, but you have no way of avoiding damage.

Pure S/S:
You do a little less damage then the spear. You get a shield. With the shield, you can block attacks which meens 0 damage. thus you survive longer. you also get reduced damage so you take less and can live longer. You still do high damage

exactly, though its quite fun to grind with spear

but s/s is a must have thing for Pure ints. I found out that ice is better than heuksal passive which gives quite alot hp, what i want to say , that if you choose spear and play constantly with it you should be hybrid, KB n Stun could save your arsh but KD/ 3x Stab is madness

The damage difference isn't THAT big, just get fire buff, a +3 or higher, or SOS, and you could compete with spear nuker

If you want to be able to pvp a spear nuker good, you need great gear. If you don't plan on getting great gear, dont go spear nuker.

I'm sorta new to silkroad, I know this is a bit off topic but it seems that the OP's question was anwsered so...

Is it a good idea to level with spear and then when done leveling use curst hearts to go to S/S for PvP/Uniques. Or would this take like forever to accomplish (delvling all of spear)

not at all. as long as you dont worry about how many hearts you got. Just get the quest go try to lv and save your sp or spend it on S/S.

funny thing is that you need lots of gold in order to delevel your skills.

so unless you are a bank, don't rely on that strategy too long

*just an opinion, Whats the point in having the most power in the game if you cant take a single hit? Thats why i like Pure Str glavie, you do lots of damage and can take countless blows to the head*

OR you could just learn not learn heuk at all, but use spear, and when you want to change to S/S, change

But how is the best defense, offence if you die faster?
With S/S you can take those hits, you can KD which saves you many times, and you can block, all in all S/S is better, you hit less, but you can take more

Yes you can... BUT, you will have to pay for it in pvp, no KD, but i strongly suggest S/S, but if you would like spear, go spear, don't torture yourself finding a build. just have fun, chose what YOU like to play best man, there is no reason you should pick power over fun, thats what i always say
