Force Blader, Made to Kill

Here are my thoughts bout a Force blader, if anyone sees any flaws or have any opinions on this topic then please share your thoughts =)
Since the blader is considered a tank, wouldn't inflicting Impotent ( lvl 80 force skill tree, decreases opponents phy and mag damage, 80% chance of infliction ) onto the opponent making an average blader unkillable ?? well unless the blader is vsing an opponent with sosun of course.
Bladers are also considered one of the weakest damage dealers in the game ( if not the weakest ), so this is where Decay and Weaken come in ( Decay lowers the opponents phy def while Weaken lowers mag def, also 80% of success ). So when these two skills take play, wouldn't this make the blader a fairly good damage dealer ??
From what i've read, people have said that bladers now have a higher chance of actually killing something due to the stats effect from lightning chain, so instead of having a 20% chance of inflicting these deadly effects why not get force tree to 80 and boost that chance up to 80%, pretty great odds IMO. Also with further assisting skills such as res, healing and harmony circle .. does this complete the whole package ??
Anyways, these are just my opinions on a Force Blader, which i am highly considering on building when i start to farm, currently lvl 70 with 0 force masteries and going to start farming at lvl 80. Just wanted to share my thoughts on this build and get some more ideas on what others have to share.

You can also run around ressing people and not die since your the ultimate tank. But the thing that's tricky is masteries, and you're probably gonna have to sacrifice light.

Yea, i've thought bout it and light will definitely go if i go ahead with the force blader idea. Delvl light to 30 or maybe 32 because i want to keep phantom.

This was discussed in the new hybrid guide...
http://www.silkroadforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=58269
Scroll down past the guide, or search for "Vital Spot," but here's the quote:
Vital spot can NOT be pilled off, but it acts as buff, and they can click it with their mouse to cancel it. If you get it on someone and have the oppurtunity to use, it will be totally pwnage.
I have not confirmed this, but I wanted to warn you, because
if it is true, force is still a gimped tree

nah ... force bladers are made to be good healers/ressers. it's not the build to be a killing machine. so dont take force tree for the sake of killing. you sacrifice more when keeping light low in the 30-32.

80 bich/80 fire/80 force/60 light, pure STR: Fair enough.

From watching that video, is it still a gimped tree ?? i cant actually tell if its taking effect or not, since the opponent may just be stupid and not had canceled the debuffs but my guess is that its actually working, but i may be wrong. Though i think Thebest as a shitload of sosun lol
@[SD]Stress .. yea thats going to be my build.

In theory, its a plausible build, but in practice.. gimped fire and lightning masteries.. you'll hit the same with force as if you had maxed fire and lightning. You could have fire at 80 and light 60, but what happens at 90 cap?

90 cap: 90 bich, 88 fire, 90 force, 32 light. lol

Yep sacrifices will need to be made in the long run, but i think i can live with 32 light at the 90 cap lol what happens after that at 100cap would be i guess no light =p

I'm a pure str blader.
65 Bicheon, 65 Fire, 40 light and a splash (33) of ice (started of as Ice blader).
Looking around the skill trees now and try to evaluate what is most useful for me and lightning is coming up very short together with ice.
The highlights in these trees are very few and limited. Lightning has movement (grass walk and phantom) which should not be underestimated, while ice has snow shield. Neither the added parry ratio nor the additional phy def is required.
However, neither tree helps me with dealing out more damage - where my real weakness is. Of course, at bicheon skill mastery 71, I will have bleed and 73 I get the lightning chain - but that will take some time.
So, I have more or less decided to start using force instead of, most likely, both ice and light. Ice is good, but my phy prot is already very high and do not need it much higher. Lightning is only for movement and I can keep it at a low level for grind and just use drugs for job.
Force seems to after the skill update give me much more additional powers than ice and light does. The vital spot gives me decay at level 60 - a decent drop for the opponent in phy defence, the damage I do most, which is expensive to pill away. It gives me parry and attack rating reductions which looks nice, but can be pilled away.
The force tree thus seems to be the best way to deal more damage as a blader, without much loss (more than speed). The other skills, such as ress and heals are just bonuses which can be added later.
So, at the moment I am looking to switch to:
80 bicheon
80 fire
80 force
The remainder might be split between light and ice. A little bit of snow shield is already very good and adds greatly to my capacity as a tanker (and with the additional MP from force, it is even better). The speed is good for the every day grind - however, I mainly use petal for mob-attraction, rather than running myself.
For the job, I think the drug is a suitable addition to keep up with the high level spurts from other light users. I am collecting an ample set of wind tablets and most elements I got (it is a bit expensive, but hey, so is living).
All in all - the more I think about walking down this route - the more convinced I am that it is the correct walk for my blader.
Finally, a quick question - self breathe heal takes time to cast or is it more like grass walk in the form of casting? If it is more like grass walk - then it could even be useful, which would come as a shock to me. I am presuming that the skill the gold bots use is the Heal series - as it heals better than the self heal one.

Hahahha seems like were all in the same boat atm .. but so far i have no idea what i'm going to build. I'm lvl 72 atm with lvl 72 bicheon 65fire and 50light, as for the last skill tree i don't wanna lvl anything as of yet until i've finally decided.
The more i think bout each build, the more i can't decide =p
Debating myself with the 4th tree of Force Ice or Bow, all with their own pros and cons.
Btw to Yoko's question.. i think it is just like grasswalk when casting. I think the casting was like a nuking but cut in half with the amount of time.

To be quite honest: I have not found it to be very effective yet. If I compare the vital spot results to the chain effects for instance, the vital spot hardly increases my damage done while the chain effects (especially division) creates a huge increase in damage. I'm having a hard time convincing myself to hold on to force for much longer.

this is just my opinion, i've seen a player who uses force with blader, and even with all the statuses on me, it didn't seen very effective. also, he had a darling little cleric with him the whole time, which drove me nuts.
However, if this build works out for u, please post it and let me know

well if anything is a nightmare for the blade build its a hybrid.
but this is the perfect build for me, it is the ultimate build in silkroad
force - fire -blade
the first 2 of the vital series can be unbuffed (right mouse) but the new ones cant (decay, weaken and impotent) making your lightning chain and flying stone smash even more effective.
doing the chains on a str build and using force against the int builds makes you an even better tanker.
with a shield and the knockdowns you wont need any cold mastery i would call this build the perfect hunter because you can help your traders and still able to take damage you just will lose a lot of gold on drugs for speed.

hmm thanx for clarifying out that, definitely helped me out, but is it every vital spot skill or just some specific ones ?? Btw phulshof .. i would love if u did some pvping vid with ur force skills in action ^^
Anyone have any experiences with Blader/bow dual since the new update ?? lightning chain + KD stab + strong bow .. whole aim of this is to use strong bow while the opponent is under the lightning chain stat effects to deal out massive damage and just basically using KD for survival purposes and just some additional damage.

I do not have video software, but I did a few tests back then, and found that the lvl 70 skills I gave did:
vital spot body: -212 phy def
vital spot mind: -318 mag def
bleed: -134 phy def, -223 mag def
division and impotent did not show up on the character stats.
I have PvPed with it, but the results varied. Usually I could not kill my opponent unless I got division on him, and my cold level is too low to protect me forever. Basically it was a pot war until they hit some good crits on me or until my snow shield (and ironwall shield) ran out if I could not KD him to bridge the time. In the end I found I did not want to waste the time casting the vital spots, and in stead focused on getting that chain out. Since I needed the SP I have already gone so far as to remove the vital spots again.
In all honesty though: lightning chain gives 8th level effects. My vital spots were only 7th level, which also decreases my chances of putting them on a level 80 character, so the comparison may not be entirely fair. From what I have seen though, I think I would prefer more cold masteries over force masteries when it comes to PvP. If anyone can give out info on the 8th level vital spots, I'd be much obliged. I have not yet decided if my build will be bicheon 90, lightning 90, force 90, cold 30 or bicheon 90, lightning 90, cold 90, fire 30.

hmm .. nice, after hearing your opinion and experiences on force i'd most probably go ice as 4th mastery. Typical but yea lol ..
80fire
80bicheon
70light
70ice
Or if someone can weight out the pros and cons on a dual blade/bow-er that would be helpful =p
