I have been playing Chinese class for my life
Im moving to the new server Mars so i'll be making a euro and party with some of the people here on forum
just wanting to try it out
My playing style is:
basically that i dont mind grind (not one bit)
want to able to AOE
be able to stand up by one self (does not matter much since ill be playing euro)
sometimes lonely wolf times
do great in pve first then oklish in pvp
able to survive (not die in 1 hit 0=0)
what euro class is that?
btw
pm me if you want to party with me on Mars

Would killing in one shot not offset dying in 1 hit?
Wiz/Bard - 1 shot, mass nuke AoE, Moving March, Noise.
Can solo or party. Levels very fast.
For new character on Mars party/quest til 19-20 then start using Life Control and mass AoE nuking Megalopa (non-aggressive). Move to wolves when they are orange. Move to evil warriors around 24-25 (they are 27-28 ). Move to Closiers and Punishers around 27. You can party at Samarkand from 24 on with a good party.

Not really but you must be careful with SP. Trying to master all wizard trees, even without a secondary, will be a heavy drain. The passives alone eat up a lot of SP.
What I have been doing:
Keep passives up, unfortunately I wanted to have Invisibility, Teleport, Descry, etc. PvP/Job skills. I recommend skipping them unless you are gonna pvp/job.
Mental: Intelligence, Life Control - Life Control is a dual edged sword, great before level 30. I don't use it much currently, maybe later depending on mobs.
Earth: Earth Shock, Earth Barrier (is okay)
Cold: Ice Bolt (lvl 1 only, you can skip it), Snow Wind
Fire: Fire Bolt
Lightning: Lightning Shock
My Wiz isn't over 60 yet so I haven't tested the skills from that level on. You don't have to do as many trees as I have done, Lightning for instance, thus saving SP from the passives and skills. This is my first wiz so I went with things that seemed particularly appealing. Lightning Shock is amazing vs Giants when soloing.
Bard
Moving March and Noise are really all you need, someone mentioned Discord in another thread but I can't see switching weapons and all that when you get in trouble. Best to not get in trouble.
Trust me when I say Mana Cycle just isn't worth the SP unless you just don't use mana pots.

As far as the description is concern, it allows you to teleport to a short distance, rather than running. I'm not a wiz so I'm not sure whether it has a cooldown time or not.

Clarification of AoE? here's

Well just imagine you are wiz doing earth AoE there, 1 hit ko all pilots, simple as that, but of course with wolf helps a lot regardless what character you are playing.

You have right.
You move a short distance, But.
It can be anywhere, Left, Right etc.
Its only helpfull with the mobs or pvping.

Euros are meant for party play, so soloing is going to be difficult with any euro class, but NOT impossible. Just be careful and you should be able to do fine. Not many euros do AOE damage except the wizard, but they die rather quickly. A warrior can stand up good against a lot of foes, but killing is slower. A Rouge is good for grinding because it can take a bit more hits than a wizard, and it can attack from a much larger range with a very devestating hit.

Aura wrote:do you know any good guides for 2h-warrior/wizard or rouge?

Whats a rouge?
It is pretty simple really when it comes to warrior and rogue....both are STR, 0 INT. To start stick with one weapon, in 2h case it is obvious. For Rogue I recommend xbow. For warrior take all skills not dedicated to 1h and axe. For rogue it is up to you on Poison and if you want dagger too along with a secondary profession you need to plan on gapping or farming SP.
Otherwise there isn't much to write a guide on. Euro is pretty simple.
For wizard someone just made a guide that I declare is pretty spot on, I have a few disagreements or clarifications of my own but overall it's a good general wiz guide. I do NOT recommend a hybrid wizard, you should be pure INT.
When it comes to secondary the general options are Bard or Cleric. You need to decide on which, if any, you want.

dont bother getting lighting line, its sucks. only usefull skill is teleport but its not worth all the sp to me.
i'd go with these books:
Earth: 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th
Ice: 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th
Fire: 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th
and max all the passive for Wizard
Bard:
Moving march and noise + mana cycle since ur nukes will use alot of mp

i say warlock.
warlocks are prolly one of the most underestimated euro classes. They are amazingly resilient. They have a leech hp skill to use while their pot delay is on, and they can aoe at about lvl 40. With your curses and debuffs you do an amazing amount of dmg. And you also carry a shield which helps increase your survivability.
They do moderately well in pvp. curses and debuffs do really well here.
For your sub i would say to either cleric or bard. For cleric you would get increased survivability. A skill called recovery division would help you a lot. Sadly the buffs cannot be placed on yourself. For Bard you get the movement speed, the non aggro buff, and you can heal your own mp.

+1
Warlocks can solo well do great in PvE and PvP with a shield your less likely to die than a bard or a wizard but you'll still do fantastic damage..

There is only one wizard build!
There is a wizard guide in progress, go check it out.
I could tell you my build but then...I would have to kill you.

He mean build as in solely pure INT wizard build, not hybrid, not str. And all the skills shall be maxed.

Is that even possible? Maxing ALL wizard skills would require much SP farming.

Why not? A lvl 80 maxed wizard mastery requires 265,409 SP whereas chinese char need 400k+

Like I said, much SP farming. (Compared to most Euros)
Not all Wizard skills are worth messing with.
