Hybrid Cleric

Cleric is supposed to be a supportive class. The healing amount is based on your Cleric Rod's attack from what I've heard. So it doesn't matter if you're pure INT or pure STR, right?
And if you're talking about damage, well, Cleric's main job is to heal/buff the party, they rarely, rarely attack.
So is it better to be pure INT or hybrid STR?
At higher levels, the monsters are mostly agressive and are going to hit you harder. Even if you wear Light Armor and have a +9999BR shield, you won't stand a crit hit from a mob. (and you shouldn't rely on BR anyway) And if you are dead due to low HP, how are you going to heal and support the party?
I'm not saying everyone should go Hybrid STR, but it's a considerable idea right? Everywhere I see, people go "CLERIC IS FULL INT, THEIR DMG IS INT, INT INT INT INTINTINTINT !!"
But if you are Hybrid STR, you could stand few hits from a monster and could survive better thus being a better supporter who don't always die.
What do you guys think? These are just my opinions. Please feel free to discuss.

Dude, I think this subject was already discussed but anyways.
IF what u said aboute the healing amout is true then I must say, Hybrid is the way to go, "You will lose damage" some will say, but aren't the Clerics meant to heal and support ???? I think even Bards stop attacking at some point of the game, and if u really wanna be an attacking cleric then use ur absolute damage spell.
Now, IF the healing amount is int based then I say, go pure int, why??? Becouse you are as useless if u can't heal enough as u are dead.[/b]

Ok i know that clerics that are pure int have choice of ligtharmour but i still dont think thats enough to survive when they get mobbed, so i picked the hybrid on the poll.

..
i have a friend who is 5 lvls below me and he is cleric and i told him to go 2:1 int from start so he has more health and he wears lightarmour.. in this case he could take hits from mobs and not die by the time i got to him...but there is one con of being hybrid, the mana

, when they are healing none stop the hybrid tend to run outa mana before the cool down and this happened a few days ago t my friend and luckily there was a wizard with bard as sub so he kinda saved us....that was actually the first time ive seen bards come in handy other than moving march XD...

You can be hybrid cleric. You'll become the chinese blader sorta. Cuz at higher lvls, if they can't 1 hit you, you won't die. Getting healing orbit+ some good gear= almost unstoppable tankability. Plus you get the bless spell AND def increases. Thats just nuts. But your dmg does suffer a lot. But i guess if you like to heal, thats no big deal.

I went pure int for my cleric because that gives me more mp. I dont really feel like wasting as many pots. And since there are rarely parties with a bard that watches the member mp, i need it. Also, going pure int helps me solo.
In good parties i usually dont get attacked, and i have the bard skill noise to help prevent normal mobs from attacking me.

If it can't one-hit me, it can't kill me.

Healing is magic based. Also you keep talking about how you won't survive getting mobbed as pure INT Cleric. Well you aren't supposed to get mobbed at all, you're party should be keeping stuff off of you.

well...you cant only think about pve. What about pvp, ppl cant keep player off you in guild wars. i suppose you can just stand in the safe zone asnd buff and heal but thats lame. What about castle wars whenever it comes. players would target clerics and bards first because of their amazing party buffs.
Even with that i still say pure int, because when you are partying at high lvl, the buffs on you will be incredible and you wont die so easily. For example, party of at least 2 clerics, 2 bards, and a warrior. the buffs on you include the bard dmg absorption buff, the warrior dmg absorption buff, the cleric armour and stat increase buffs. bard and warrior buff alone will decrease dmg by at least 60-70%. Then with cleric buffs, pretty much anyone can be a tank.

TBH in PvP even being 50:50 (you wouldnt want any less int than that or you will run out of mana too easily). You will still die in 1 hit, so may as well go full int so you can get the big heals off and have a chnace at using offering before they do.

Hybride int or str
Some people mean full int because they need many mp for heal party.. but at HIGHT LVL, for exemple lvl 90, they don't use many mp.
And they need to tank if some moob are aggro, for rememory people, healer aggro moob, with regen skill, and heal.
About dommage... a cleric is a cleric, he is no here for make dommage, got rogue and wizzard for that.
