Hi srf community,

I'm planning to play silkroad in a few weeks, so I thought I would say "Hi" to the community and get myself started with some information about the 2 builds I found most interesting...

A pure str bow and a pure int s/s: Any, and really any comments, tips, experiences, pros, cons etc would help me decide between the two, because, when I start a char, I want to choose the right one

Secondly, I would like to know which server would have a guild that will take low lvl people, teach them some basics and help them getting started (e.g. farming, alchemy)

Pure STR bow will be bomb at 80 cap because of the new stun and knockback skills. Pure int S/S will level faster. So you're choice. PvP with cool skills or PvP with nukes.

I watched some movies, and I must say the bow skills, especially the higher lvl ones, look quite nice

Probably I'm going for Zeus as my server. It doesn't look too crowded and a nice guild to start in would be nice. Yet, as I said, I won't be starting playing this game "full-time" until the end of september probably, but I will make a char and level it to 16 throughout that time.

So, a bow it is.. The only issue would be what kind of a bow? A pure strength, hybrid strength, or the 70:70 bow (and work to 80:80 by equips.. at least thats what I thought was the purpose of it =/)

Can anyone help me decide?

Pure str deals lower regular damage but higher crits. Any hybrid deals a bit higher regular damage but lower crits.

Hm.. difficult to choose.

Still don't know wether I'd rather do a s/s.. They seem to be better at pvp in the lower lvls, and I doubt if I will ever make the lvls in which bows get kb and stun...

Anyways, If I would go for a bow'...

A hybrid costs more money to build, but farms easier because you can add int at the beginning. What magical balance are you aiming at when you say a hybrid?

A strength is easier to build, but you need a good crit bow and the overall damage is lower --> slower grind...

What do you prefere

If you have a nice guild to start you off with and can support you where needed, i'd go for 70:70.

I decided to try the 70:70 bow...

@ Temptation: Once I'm 16 I'll try to pm your guild, because at that lvl I'm probably in dire need of a guild, and a guild always likes farmers (If the offer is still on...)
