before this update int hybrid s/s sucked big time but now imho i think int hybrid s/s is back and is a very good 1on1 build. even when mana shield runs out u still have enough hp to survive glaiver/bow crits and with the new updated skills u do enough damage to kill a pure str. in guild wars/jobs wars where it is better to deal the biggest damage possible and is never 1on1, int hybrid s/s are less useful.

I got a hybrid int s/s to the prob is dont make a heavy hybrid cause once you go under a certent % naked magical balance you wont nuke enough to hurt them im lvl 7X and nuke 6 k on same lvl and hit whit my kd and stab 4- 5 k

So if i were you dont make a heavy hybrid ... heavy hybrids should go spear

Make sure your balance is right XD Really really really important

Think Like a Pure INT! but don't play like one, rememebr your hp is low too in a sense, and if you are too hybrid, your nuke damage is gonna suck dirt, also you can't tank too much, although better than pure INT (but of course it depends on your balance), the extra hp usually just give you enough time to pot out a STR's crit's (INT usually can't), imo really worth it for the lower nuke damage.

KD is your best friend both in offendsive and defenseive.

Find yourself some good +int + str gear and you'll be a ll set to go, for some reason it makes a big difference in hybird.

IMO hybrid s/s are pretty good at solo jobs, its probably the most effective builds in 1vs1 pvp. In a group fight, it is more of a support build. But the flexability of not dying as easily as the pure ints really will give the healers a better time :)

Depending on your balance, Cut blade (range atk, don't rememebr the name) does do more damage than lion shouts for some reason. It provides you a mean of finishing your mob with a skill that has low mp consumption. (note* lion shout takes 3x the mp of cut blade in general)

But I do suggest you go pure INT for now until you've decided your balance, because incase you decide that "oh I hate doing this build" in earlier levels, you still have a chance to be pure int.

Also pvp requires a little tactics, and this I think you should find out yourself :D

Hybrid is great if u know how to find ur balance 8) .

I was about to rip apart and become hybrid before the Legend I expansion, but now with Cold skills i can actually manage pretty well vs high lvl PvP and monsters.

There are 2 hybrid ints:

S/S and Spear. Sword shield gets to fight like a blader but have the advantage of powerful nukes. Spear gets powerful dmg close to a pure and glaive skills to boot.

Take into consideration what u want = the highest constant dmg in the game (pure) or a stable fighter with plenty of balanced dmg (hybrid).

You die either way =p.

Your ideal balance will depend on a number of factors including personal preference, force tree selection, etc. For example if you plan on maxing ice for mana shield you will have to sacrafice some damage. To make up for this you might want to be a bit more int. Generall range for s/s is 80-95%

+int really helps your nukes which will be a bit weak since you are hybrid.
+str increases phisical damage as well as giving you more hp.

I agree in my opinion the best 1vs1 build.

Depending on your balance, Cut blade (range atk, don't rememebr the name) does do more damage than lion shouts for some reason. It provides you a mean of finishing your mob with a skill that has low mp consumption. (note* lion shout takes 3x the mp of cut blade in general)

Actually the throw attack does more damage for pure int as well and it has a chance to crit. However lion shout can hit 3 targets, and might be a tiny bit faster, not sure.

But I do suggest you go pure INT for now until you've decided your balance, because incase you decide that "oh I hate doing this build" in earlier levels, you still have a chance to be pure int.

Another reason to be pure int at earlier levels would be to slightly speed up your leveling since you will kill a little faster. HOWEVER I beleive that you need to find out what balance suits you best so you would need to become hybrid as soon as possible so you can play a bit with the stats before you are stuck. In your 30s you will get all your skills, you will start to be strong in your 40s (hybrids are late bloomers and tend to shine after 42) by then you will have a clearer idea of what you need to do. So if you put off being hybrid to later levels I think you should start adding str at 35ish at the latest.

Also pvp requires a little tactics, and this I think you should find out yourself :D

hmmm... i am also making an int hybrid s/s, but im only lvl 9 right now lol.

i been adding 1 point to str, and 2 points to int every time i lvl up, if i keep going like this would i have a good enough balance?
