Right now im playing with China character - Str/Bow/Light/Fire.Right now im lvl 19 and...Jeez,bow is so weak.I kill White tiger with Anti Devil arror,2-arrow combo,Autumn Wind,2 normal arrows and then Anti Devil again.Is just bow is so weak in low levels?

Its one of the strongest builds in the high levels.

Just keep your points in str. Use fire imbue. Use light and ice for buffs.


Im actually thinking of making a pure str archer myself

yes weak but once u get strong bow lvl 31 skill ull start pwning especially with 3 arrow combo and second anti devil book + beserk arrow

are you sure you're using a lvl 18 bow lol.

you will have a good future if you continue to be a pure str bow.

Yes,im using lvl 18 bow...And it's quite difficult to kill monsters.
I really hope in later levels i can pwn mobs in few shots,'cuz right now leveling is real pain in the ass

I can grey mobs with berserk and combo.

You seem to be incredibely weak =|, are you using imbue? or are you using all npc gear?

It really sounds like you're not using your fire imbue. You should use it constantly. Every arrow that leaves your bow should have that extra kick!

And until you hit lvl 24 you don't need SOS anything... the secret at lower levels isn't SOS... it's getting EVERY STR/INT INCREASE you can on every piece of gear you have equipped. You should look for gear in stalls that has BOTH Int 2-3 and Str 2-3. Don't do the alchemy yourself. It's WAY cheaper to just find good stuff in stalls. Don't forget to check Donwhang also because a lot of good 3rd degree stuff is available there for cheap.

At lvl 24 if you've figured out how to make money (selling alchemy items or trading or just grinding away) save up for a SOS Bow... preferably with good stats (crit 8 or more is nice), +'s and STR3 and INT3. If you can't afford other SOS equipment yet, don't worry about it... go for the STR/INT.

yes its weak at low lvls i had a pure str archer lvl 20 and it took me that many skills to kill a monster the same lvl but its strong at higher lvls

I dont get it, I was weak at lower levels but never that weak. Are you sure youre pure str?

Do you use any imbue? I remember the times when I was thought force skills were useless for a fighter

BTW, strong bow series got some boost in speed with the big update. I's pwnage

yea hes not using imbue.

imbue is the first skill under fire, ice, lightning trees.
you use it at the same time as you attack monsters to do more damage.


worst thing about a bowman is it sucks at pvp til you get to a really high level rofl.

you need a SOX bow to be good with it. Also a 10+ crit bow. That's why you only hear about Sosun bows on vids and such

I do good with a +5 bow and a +4 set. I dont have much str added and still need to work on most of my items, but still I do good. So whats up?

For starters i wouldnt have gone light imbue. Status suxxs. Go Ice or fire imbue. Fire does more damage but ice has a better status effect. i personally am ice.
