hybrid int 2:1 spear get ice for mana shield?

i'm hybrid int spear 2:1 atm with light and fire, any1 think swapping fire for ice would be beta den keeping fire, i kno nuke weak but i rarely use nukes anyways only at beginning of fights and does my build have enough mp for it to use mana shield?

I am lvl 57 balances 83:83. That is slightly more str then you. Only slightly.

I have mana shield at 35% transfer. I have to run my mp pots around 60%. So I don't know if I will be able to max mana shield, but I should be able to get it close to max.

Swapping is a strong word though.

In the end it is just what fits your playing style more.

Umm, you stated you are an int hybrid but you dont just nuke?

Gonna cost alot of sp if you want to lvl ice as well, watch your mastery lvls you might run out of masterys later in the game.

I find mana shield a good life saver, atleast for me. I think its worth the sp but not everyone farmed like I did.

no i meant de-lvl fire and get ice instead, u think hybrid int has enough mp for mana shield, lvl 72 atm with 10k mp with no blues on gear....., or u think fire ebta option?

I hope a lvl 70+ can post to answer this question for sure.

But I just want to add that when I had my MP pots set at 50% Only occasionally would I run out of mp. If you run out of mp it isn't the end of the world. My shield stayed up, you just cant use a skill. However you are potting up almost instantly and can fight again in about 1 sec maybe less.

I am sure I will be able to get the snow shield up to 40% without any problems, I just am not sure after that.

I recommend that you start farming hardcore. You shouldn't delevel your fire below lvl 60 because you will still want all the buffs. The physical increase buff and passive should make a decent difference in how hard you hit, and the magic defense and fire shield definitely wouldn't hurt.

well i'm hybrid 2:1 int with garms so i think my mag def gud enough, i also have the blood snake storm which gives me alot of mag def for 15 secs, with mana shield too i shud last long enuf, fire buffs are quite useless to me, snow shield is much beta den fire buff, ice gives 88 phy along with snow shield i think i can last a glaive, but since i'm only lvl 72 i dnt kno how well it will work................

Well at lvl 72 you should be in a good set of gear, if not get some! Anyone around your lvl will take you down very quickly if you dont have good gear, and even more so now that there are more skills.

Also with int hybrids you want to shoot for a 85% naked balance.(taken from some other threads, this seems to be a popular number for int hybrids) With gear on you should be able to hit 97%(unsure of the accuracy of that statment)

If you are losing fire for ice, what skills will you take in ice? the nuke, mana shield, etc...

Can you post a screenshot of your character screen? I would like to see your stats.

errrrr i'm lvl72 and i'm 2:1 int hybrid from lvl 1 - 72 and i have fire/light/heusk maxed out at lvl 69, but my garm set and acc has 20 int and 9 str :cry:

, my naked balance is around 75 - 78% if naked

sry i used character builder naked my mag balance is 73% and phy 67%, lvl80 max blue on gear gives 89% mag balance and 77% phy, sry double post, but i use spear so i dnt think i need my balance need to be so high unless SS, and my crits atm give extra 2K dmg so atm its quite nice.
