Basically, I wont prefer going Warlock.
All the curse's and stuff taking time to effect (dmg).
Wizard is the main DMG Dealer.
Very strong.

I have a Wizard/Warlock. I like to go solo, so this is mainly advice for soloing...

Wizards are better at taking out mobs in one or two shots. This allows them to level really quickly, since they can use AoE and take out 4-5 in one shot too. Either go to stronger monsters and use your strongest spells, or go to slightly weaker monsters and have more spells to choose from. Just make sure you can kill them in one or two shots if you decide to use an AoE skill.

Warlocks are better against the big guys. Party monsters and bosses around my level aren't too hard to solo when I switch to Warlock, because I can keep sapping HP. When I need to, I can run away and my damage over time spells still do damage for a while. Also, there's a skill that lasts for 16 seconds (20 second cooldown, I think) which does damage to all monsters 5 meters around you. Normally, this sounds dangerous because it draws non-aggressive mobs toward you. However, you'll be fine if you do use this against monsters 2-4 levels below you. Find a giant, cast 2 damage over time skills (that's the limit), sap HP if you need it, activate the 5 meter absolute damage skill, suck life when you need it, shoot blood flower spells when you don't, reactivate any damage over time skills including the 5 meter radius absolute damage skill. It works quite well. I soloed a level 18 giant and a level 20 giant one after another at level 22 and I only used one HP potion. (Full INT)

For parties, I usually just turn on Life Control (Wizard) and pound them with my strongest spells. If there's no tank, I might switch to Warlock. If there is, there's not much reason to use your Warlock when you do much more damage as a Wizard. A Warlock's strong point is crippling and weakening a monster over a long period of time.

Think of it this way...

Wizards go, "BAM - You're dead".
Warlocks go, "You're going to die in about ten seconds. Have fun chasing me around... By the way, you have 5 seconds to live now. *shoots* Just kidding."

For parties with tanks, Wizards are more useful than Warlocks damage-wise. I'm not sure about debuffs, because I went for attack skills first. (Skill point dilemma!) For going solo against strong monsters that simply have too much HP to one-hit KO at your level, Warlocks really shine.

I've been training at Seirens (level 20) at level 22 for skill points. Any monster around there can still kill me in about 3 attacks when I'm a Wizard. Giants or Party monsters kill me very easily. I get one or two shots in, then I die. If I switch to Warlock, I take them down without using an HP potion. I only use HP potions when I have to go quickly from a Life Controlled Wizard (-50% HP) to a Warlock fighting a boss and several aggressive monsters, where I'll die simply because I started with half HP. xD
