Sub-classes, are they worth it?

Been thinking about this for a couple of days now, but I was wondering if it is really worth it to have more than one class in Euro. Ill give the following reasons as to why.
1) If there is someone in your party with your sub-class as your main class, why bother using your subclass? They can do the job better than you (have more powerful buffs, more powerful attacks). Why not just stick to the job you are good at?
2) Switching equipment is a pain. I play a cleric/bard, switching between cleric rod when I need to heal, and harp when I need to give the party mana. Hard to keep the party alive when I have that harp on :/ and it takes a little time to switch around.
Also, if you want top notch weapons, thats two expensive items you need to buy.
3) You would probably level faster. Skill points are less in demand when leveling one tree, and therefore you can keep a smaller gap and level faster.
I would find it very annoying for example to play a wizard/warlock, switching between weapons to do this skill and that skill. In partys, people have their specialized jobs, so here am I asking, why not just stick to what you are good at?
