yea.. as title says, what is attack rating? i mean the white+blue hawk summon skills for pacheon.
Should i take the black hawk series or the blue hawk?

Higher Attack rating makes your attack hit closer to the maximum...

Example: Attack=(100-150) and you'll do closer to 150 each hit with higher attack rating.

Basically, high attack rating means you hit closer to your maximum damage, and low attack rating means you hit closer to your minimum damage. Usually don't really matter in both PvP and PvE, as level is the absolute most important factor.

As far as I know no one has the new lightning hawk or whatever its called. So actual damage is still unknown. But in general if you have a sos weapon then you want to go with the white / blue hawk so it hits harder more often. If you can only afford a +3 or something you would probably be better with the black hawk.

One of these days I will actually check the damage difference. when using a hawk.


If you look at a weapon you will see that there is a range on the attack power specs. Your attack rating pushes the damage towards the top and your opponents parry ratio pushes it back down.

From my experience, the black hawk blows (i have it maxed). At 80 grinding mobs my level, it did 50dmg per hit. Granted the new hawk has an extra 500-600phys maxed, but thats about a 50% increase in phys so i would assume the lightning hawk would still be poor. Does the lightning hawk do magical damage also? That would change things a bit, but i still think its a max of around 200dmg per hit on mobs my lvl.

I saw someone with the lightning hawk buff on and it gave a physical damage increase of 1400+

Yea, it dosnt increase the players physical damage by 1400 points, the physical attack of the bird itself is 1400+, and when compared to the ~900 physical attack of the maxed black hawk, really isnt that much more.
