Wizard/Warlock or Wizard/Cleric?

I don't know if I should go with Wizard/Warlock or Wizard/Cleric.

Posted by MrFudge (hopefully you don't mind) about Warlock subclass for Wizard:
warlocks nice if you are fighting party mobs, start out with warlock curses, poison, burns, whatever and then switch back to wizard to cast damage. The warlock curse/burn/poinson/etc will remain on the mob and will just help u kill the party mob faster. Also, the warlock has an HP drain skill where it sucks HP out of the mob, so it basically heals you and does pretty decent damage.

Posted by MrFudge about Cleric subclass for Wizard:
with cleric you can heal yourself in solo grind and fill in for a missing cleric, too bad you cant buff yourself with any cleric skills, all cleric buffs are aimed at selected targets and you cant target yourself (shift click works but you still cant buff yourself it says "invalid target" for cleric buffs)

Which one would you choose to get as a subclass(seriously)?

hey im thinking about doing a warlock because i think they are quite good for PvP cuz the stun block suck HP and do Burn Poison and other stuff...
I dont know if they are very good because there arent many videos with warlocks making PVP...
If someone thinks that any char is best than warlock to PVP page me :)

Negative on the cleric, i just got off cSRO as a cleric/wizard and i can heal myself! just a word of advice and something to make my decision and maybe your's harder is, that the cleric is a BIG job to do, i had to sit there and heal my TWO party members(Not alot, but hard!) and ress them also, because they were fighting a party mob that was pretty much hitting hard and i had a hard time trying to heal, but at the same time i had to heal myself because i was also being chased and hit.

So you'd prefer wizard/warlock then?

lol dont listen to jaws, hes below lvl 20 cleric.

after lvl 20 cleric alls good with party heals, as long as you have a warrior with taunt you are all good.

if you want to be a warlock id rather have wizard as sub instead of cleric, as stated cleric is a big job and the party cleric must be commited to keeping everyone alive, you will not have time to go wizard, nuke nuke nuke and then switch to cleric to heal heal and then go back to wizard.

much easier to go warlock, curse curse then stick to wizard til all mobs die.

i bet you there will be enough people with a sub class as cleric so that they can fill in as the partys cleric when needed.

You're right. Everyone is gonna have sub class cleric. So now I am looking at warlock/wizard.
I guess that is better than going wizard/warlock...
If I end up doing warlock/wizard, which 2 or 3 trees should I end up getting (fire, ice, lightning, earth) in wizard?

strongest to weakest:

Fire
Earth
Ice
Lightning

i've also just been testing my char. but i think im gonna just be a warlock/wizard also, because being a cleric is difficult and kind of a waste of time n skill seems how the est. number of sub clerics there will be.

I guess I would get ice, fire, and lightning if i had to pick three trees.

they are not trees, they are just skills, wizard is the tree.
get all of them, no point in not gettin them all.

got a question, if i were to be a warlock/wizard how could i drag in monsters to focus on me or if i were a cleric how could another member of the party keep them off of me, because that seem to be me and my friends problem i would heal him why he's attacking, but i would always get hit from another one...i cant exactly protect myself i do the heling not protecting, do we just need lots of people in the party to kill everything in site and i just follow closely and they just kill everything that comes near me?

if you are warlock wizard cleric bard or any INT build, you dont want the monster on you EVER

warrior has a lvl 10 skill, first skill in the warrior mastery called Warrior Taunt.

it taunts the enemies and makes them only hit the warriors

lol oh okay, guess i should of done my research! so if i would be a full time cleric, as long as i had a warrior in the group i could be safe, they wouldnt ever come near me right? because lol two idiots like my friend and I were both INT builds(Wizard, and i was cleric), and everytime he would take on maybe 4 to 5 guys and i would just stay clear and keep keep on healin him, but then i would have one come after me two and i would have to kill him, run, or die, and its hard doing all of that, because if i had someone there to draw them away then i could just sit there and click away and heal which is still hard 1-19, the lv.20 skill actually comes in handy, because its hard seeing who is dying the most and u have to click on each and just sit there and heal and it gets hard because u have to click like 2 or 3 of them quick or they will die.

yea no shit, you cant grind with full int's, a party mob or 2 could take all of you out.

so when they say you need a these classes this is how it goes:

Puller: Rogue(Scorn maybe?), Warrior(Taunting Target)
Tanker: Warrior
Nuker: Wizard, Warlock(Not very strong nuker, maybe just helps others beat it)
Healer: Cleric, Bard?(Can they heal?)

bard heals mp and has buffs that minimize mp shit and raise speed and crap, dont wanna get into details

just wait for tuesday

Warlock= Giants/tank a bit more
Wizard= everything else
but almost same damage accumulated over time

you dont want cleric for warlock because they both have healing purposes. wizard/cleric is bad. would you rather... curse then take of sheild and wand then equip staff and cast 2 nukes and then take out a shield and wand or just take out staff and nuke 2x? wizard can stay alive with teleport and invisibility but if you like warlock so much go pure warlock and max all of the debuffs theres like a 50 although most of them you wont be using lol

In theory then, it is better to go wizard/warlock, since I am maxing out wizard and only warlock's curses, drains, etc. I will not be maxing out some other stuff in warlock since I am gonna be wizard as well.
I think I got everything cleared up.
Thanks. :)

If worst comes to worst, I can always stick to ONLY the wizard skills (not raising any of the warlock or other classes) if I didn't want to sp farm. :D :D :D

I should do cleric like then you always have a healer :)

wiz is better with cleric because then you have a resser that can use invisibility and you also have that insane cleric nuke

This is a fairly hard decision because both sub classes have their positives and negatives.
Any other suggestions?
Open to more discussion.

Cleric is VERY, no VERY useful because there are a lot of people standing on the grounds all the time, in parties you'll notice this a lot...

I recomend cleric as a sub for any full int...

nah, only some full int's just cuz they die so fast.
you can keep the rest for some warriors, especially the 1 handed swords like me who u know will stick around forever.

Wait until some other monster attacks the party one dies, the kaos is spread lol, when the warrior dies it's a lost battle xD, happened so many times... and in my parties we were around 3 clerics sub 8)

When I calculated how much sp i need for warlock/wizard, it was way too much...I'll probably stick to cleric as sub.

Could I theoretically stick to only one class (wizard) instead of two (wizard/cleric) if I wanted to go all the way to 60 with a zero gap? Or would that be a bad idea?

Well, my advice is to level up 2 masteries, but the moment you start leveling the second one its up to you :) , still you can have a 0 gap and have some sp left, the whole euro is programmed in a way of "auto-farm", you can have a 0 gap but you will always have some sp left to use ^^

You know how much sp I would get if I lvl with a 0 gap from 1-60 in euro?
When I add my cleric skills on top of my wizard skills, it says that I need to farm around 125k sp. I don't know what gap I will need based on this sp.
