Glaive - Lightning or Fire

I wanna build a Glaive pure STR

I was thinking of dropping fire its give + magic resis and +phys def sure but only 10% of your original damage.

Thunder work well with Fanning spear series, mobility, raises parry and thunder imbune lowers enemy parry. so hit more often get hit less hard. As long as ur smart and switch Fanning on at the right time u can kill nukers right?

u read right! pure str are usually fire cuz of the passive, buff are meant for str builds. the fire imbue dmg is greater. mag defence buff as well.

but if u wanna do 1 weapon and 1 force, light glaive isnt that bad for quick leveling. speed and parry buffs and the passive is all that u could take in light other than the imbue. u could get the magic dmg buff later if sp is a constraint earlier on in your game.

of course u shouldnt expect to fair better than a fire glaiver maxing light as well.

your advantage as light glaiver is u get to the lvl up faster because of much lesser sp needs. when u hit the caps, u can think abt other options.

i'm trying out a light glaiver myself. but i wont be doing much pvp. i'm getting a 3rd tree much later ... after i hit the 70s.

No but seriously go fire cause STR buff and Mag Def. Buff. Both work to STR advantages.

I would go fire, but im not really intrested in 1v1 fights. just jobing, and u gotta do tonnes of running around and stuff, besides str glaive hits hard enough for low levels +3% dmg doesnt do much to 300 i think like 330 now or somthing. The magic resis doesnt really apply to me either in low lvls because im using garments.

So after update ill see whether i want fire but for now garments and speed are my main concern(note sonic the hedgehog in dp), although i didnt know it before, thankyou

I would go with speed too. Light glaive if you don't want to farm too much. Else, take Fire/Light/Glaive ... the best!

You will need light and fire eventually, but if you want to go just light for now that could work. but eventually you will NEED fire for buffs and phys damage, because thats what str's r, high phy. balance, high phys.damage

look deeper ... there are other alternatives to fire, although fire-light-glaive is proven. perhaps the other alternatives dun get tested enough. just a thought and i am now trying.

I tend to use fire for my attacks, but to9 annoy people off I freeze them then melt them. All good, just make sure you don't mess up your charcter so much that you want to leave him/her.
