Farmed my pure int and farmed more than what I needed.

Should I go sword or spear? My main forces are going to be lightning and ice for mana shield. Just wondered which weapon skill to use. And should I go with pure or hybird? If hybird which weapon and what mag balance.

you can start of a pure int spear to level fast, then at 2x see if you wish to
swap to sword or go hybrid.

magic balances naked:
hybrid s/s ~ approx. 90-95%
hybrid spear ~ approx. 83-87%

So answering exactly ur question pinoyplaya, go sword

my take on this would be. maybe consider not having weapon skills.? or going full int bow it will be good. also no weapon skills s/s full int pvp and spear pve w/e no diff atall just personal preference also if u take no weapon mastery take force of course max what u think is good. that way u get cold shield thingy and force gives u more MP and Debuffing skills , realy usful for new skills+90 cap IMO.... i hope i helped with all my non cookie cutting BS.

No weapon skills = no pvp, unless you have some type of sun weapon which kills your enemy in 2 nukes or something.

I find the best way to go hybrid with spear is to make it to lvl 65 or so and just add pure str after that, you'll dominate pve but won't be able to pvp till 76~. Or you can add the str early on but that might make your lvl 30 nukes weaker.

83% balance with spear works, you might be able to do higher with mana shield.

u are wrong u can pvp all u want ur weapon skills = shield for block and sword for dmg.

You are going to get manhandled in PVP without weap skills =\
block's cant happen all the time...

I sense someone has never made it to 70+ and pvp'ed

hybrid s/s ~ approx. 85-90%
hybrid spear ~ approx. 80-85%

I'd love to see someone pvp without wep skills, you'd get constantly stunned + kb'ed + kd'ed and get maybe 2 nukes in? I'm not going to steal anyones SSN, so "proof or it didn't happen."

i hope the new mana shield combined with the walls will create some more fun for the non weapon skill using int builds.

save your SP for the new skills you might end up changing your mind,farm a bit more now and prepare for the update.

If you're going to be a pure INT then i'd go for spear simply because you can level up faster , (more crit than sword and far mor dmg) and YES please add weapon skills. -_-

+1 having many hybrid characters myself i can say this is the right answer

I hope you wear armor to offset the big hp drop in using a spear since the drawback cannot use a shield.

I would choose pure for s/s cause you need that xtra damage cause sords do less than spears and thy can also block wich is annoying and i love it. I'm a 2:1 int hybrid at lvl 48, but am going to put all on int from here on in.

heuksal will give you 1k hp more.
that isn't enough....not at all.
well oeh!he needs to use one more skill.
pure int spear,is atm,unless you have some sick gear,pretty fragile.
i do think that with manashield,spear is gonna be a good choice tho.

With the new mana shield skill coming up, I suggest pure int spear.
No need to scarify damage power for hybrid or s/s build when mana shield can make up to it.
Hybrid spear or pure s/s is having a tough time killing str, yes the have more hp and more defense, but they cant kill either.
Maximize your attack power!
At level 80 with alchemy+heuksal passive you can have 11k hp (including new skills).
Then, a double crit from a normal non-sun glaiver can't kill you, only possible if thats a sosun glaiver.

As for the skills to get, get soul and ghost from heuksal, 3rd book of bloody fan storm if you have the sp.
Everything under the light tree.
For imbue, all three imbues do about the same damage when you are nuking, so that a personal preference.
But I suggest light for the splash damage, believe me, with that light extra splash to the surrounding mobs, it does help to kill with less skill, hence even faster to level.
For the last tree, you can get either ice or fire, with the mana shield.
I will ditch fire for ice (again, all nuke + imbue more or less hit the same).

I totaly agre with skyduck and having force for DeBuffing ur enemy will help ur power(nuking) weapon skills will upset that DPS(damage per second) and being full int or hybrid int face it ur criticals dont do shiit.
Only weapon skills worth it might be the ghost spear series because its almost instantanious damage BUT ur shok skills are even better with a high lvl enough + the new light nukes combined with force mastery a full int will rock .

tehrs another build in my head for a future hybrid is the 1str 2 int with fire maybe then u can use weapon skills for profit from a critical attack and have some nuking power and a big shiney spear .
