Why is str glavie better than str bow in PvP??

Why is str glavie better than str bow in PvP??Bow can shoot from so far and it is as if the str glavie usually dies before reaching the bower. From what i saw, glavie always lose to bower in PvP..but why is that people always say that str glavie is the stongest in PvP??

By the way can give some tips also on how to defeat a bower using str glavie..thx in advance

1) do your buffs where the bowman can't see you
2)sneak up on him
3) do a couple of combos that to massive damage like ghost spear, chain spear if you want to burn or do whatever imbue thingy, and soul spear so they cant do sh!t

glaive does higher dmg, but bow is safer.. you can probbly get 1-2 big hits before they get t oyou.

what i really wanna know is in 1 on 1 PvP...how to win a bower anyway?Bower shoot from so far yet glaviers are melee types....wont the glavier die before reaching the bower?

shrug. havnt seen it yet. i would think maybe bow.. just cuz theres a skill that adds 35 crit to a bow. with that many crits, it'll do a bunch more dmg than a glaive

i so don't agree, i'm a noob, but in my opinion if you wear full armor, and have your pots auto at 100% even if bow can wack you a few shots glavie's attacks are too scary and they pretty much have no silly delay ( between skill use or attacks ) imagine this * Soul Spear * starting point is insanely slow but soon as it lands it your opponent will start to auto pot, as i said soul spear starting part is slow but that dosen't matter as your opponent is on full hp anyway, anyways once soul spear finish it takes ' not too long ' to recover then you land your chain combos, these have pretty much no delay, not the ones i tried out so far ( one )

anyway i can only say wat i have experienced, tiger chain has absortlute no delay right after it finish, my best suggestion would be ghost spear, since it's instant, pretty much no time for opponent to regen hp, this is all from my imagination though, havent' exactly seen any bow str hit on me, other then this weird ice one who tried to wack me down when we were both very early lvl 20 ( long time ago ) hmm she was doing 80 damage with imbue, spaming her so called combo and crit shot, i think one of the critical landed for about 250 damage ( i had at least 1.4k, most likely more ) and she can't kill me this is certain, but i can't get to her cos she was so cheap as to run and hit with her fancy ice, eventually ( this is at jangan side chakji worker spot ) i took teleport to other side of river, she was stupid enought to follow, i didn't have combo then > Soul spear - Move > ghost spear > ' diu ' -ed very hard. but this is at noob lvls, ah what the heck i'm like telling a story, anyway you make it sound like bow str built can take down another str built in a matter of 1 - 2 shots? my guess is even if the bow peeps can shoot afar, the glavie can always ( will most likely have grass walk ) can catch up to it and finish the show but i'm really bias to cheap moves like ... range... nukes... distance attacks... * winks *

Because in the time it takes for the bow to charge up one attack, the glaive can run up to him and soul spear. If the bow gets stunned, no attack. Soul spear Book 1->2->1->2 means that there will be a LOT of stunning, and cancelling of attacks. Plus, when you're stunned, you can't heal, so you only need one good chain to end the fight, whereas you'll be constantly potting the bow's damage away.

YES! i was wondering what i lefted out, haha yes bow has critical, but we have something more scarier = stun, people who has use stun on monster may think it's lame or not as good, cos they don't last long, but when it lands on people, it's a different story keke, or maybe its' the same story but it takes less time to slaughter a player then a monster? anyway like Devotia said, when your stun you can't do anything, stun in SR is as powerful as stun in RO! " hurray for Str Glavie once again! "

In my opinion full str glavie fire are better than same with bow, but like full str bow with ice +3 (or 4) arrow combo owns glavies and blades. :twisted:

who ever said that str bow beats str glaive was obviously under lvl 40
and who ever said that str glaive is the best in pvp come to me in venice pm me and we can see if a pure int is better or pure str is better :wink:

in PvP its not really all about the build.. gear matters most.

STR Bow is essentially the physical nuke.. very deadly towards full STR bladers and glaivers who wear garments.

they both have strong points
bows can attack and get a few extra hits in but not enough to take down a pure str glaiver before he gets there (me at lvl 20 i have 1500 hp)

a glaiver deals alot more damage and can also stun.

bladers can block glaive attacks and hit an extra couple times (as well as bow attacks)

a pure str cold bow. you cant really use it with auto pill and all its the same thing as fire in essence just with alot less imbue boost
