As the title already says, is there a difference in the characters you can choose at the beginning? I searched for this question on the forum, but I couldn't find it.
I assume there isn't, cause else there would already have been a lot of topics on

Some characters make annoying attack sounds depending on the weapon they use.

+1.
Not because the SRO community is sexist, or anything... well, mostly not, anyways, but because there's less of a female population, thus making the armor cheaper.
More armor, for less people = less demand, more supply... deflation.

Female clothing is cheaper but not easier to find in my experience. Also If you resell your gear you will buy it for less and sell it for less. That is a net gain of zero no different then male character.
