i am planing to build a blade. with pure str. and i would like to get ice and fire mastery, but i am not sure which skills should i take.

i already farmed 30K SP but i don't know where to put on plz, HELP!!

is this good?

fire shield is useless. Also, stick with one weapon tree and only two force trees. Use fire/lightning, drop the ice. The two skills u want in ice isn't worth using that many masteries to get, especially if u actually want them to hav an effect. Meaning, for frost guard and cold armor to be good, u need at least 30 lvls in ice, so it's not worth it. Instead, get some force (heal) if u have the extra sp.

Forst Guard series is COMPLETLY useless (trust me, im an ice swordman)


Also, i agree with Shimohime, keep one weapon tree and only two force trees, im ice and lighning (its pwning)

I suggest trying your skill (putting them lvl 1) and if they seem like being a good investent; max it, if not ; drop it.

Fire shield: Get it. Saves you money because by using it you don't have to buy the bigger pills until much later. Without fire shield I get poison from White Spiders which can't be totally cured by Large Uni Pill, with fireshield, Large Uni Pills fully cure it. Also, combined with decent freeze/frost reduce jewelry, you can become immune to ice at higher levels.

Get the first skill in sword. Good for a decent chunk of damage in one hit.

If you want ice, get ice. I personally use Fire/Light/Ice for my blader. Takes much more work farming wise. At the moment, my masteries are at Ice (40), Light (42), Fire (42), Sword (42) and Force (20). I also have 10k+ sp as well. I'm gonna farm for awhile longer then level with a 2 or 3 level difference.

Combined the buffs make a huge difference (Parry, Def, Damage).

It's your build. Pick what you want, not what others want.

im going to have to disagree with you there, with the new addition of frost guard skill u can get +65 phy defence. That is a HUGE difference comparing damage without it

how long did it take you to get 30k sp?? me myself is goaling for 62k sp or so for a shield/sword/2int/1str/fire/cold/force healing char. thats how much i need for lvl 70

You dont want to farm 60k SP at level 1. You can either:
A) farm 40k SP and go with 2 rank gap in mastery
B) farm 30k SP and go with 3 rank gap in mastery
C) farm 20k SP and go with 4 rank gap in mastery

Some people enjoy SP farming, so if you have the time and patience I'd say go for option A.

If you have gold card go for option A as it will take you SHORTER than option C's time to farm up the SP and the leveling will be that much quicker (like HORRENDOUSLY quicker).

FIRE SHIELD IS NOT WORTHLESS.
