I have heard loads and loads loads and loads loads and loads and loads about Bow builds.

But what Bow build would you say does the most damage (i.e. the best)???

I would just like to know peoples opinions on this as have heard so many different builds for Bow.

Also if u say 80:80 or w/e could u actually explain what that means in terms of points allocation to str and int (as in how many points to each when u lvl).

hybrid str bow > full str bow

hybrid str archer would be the best build for me.

lol, and there it goes again.

I love str bow and think my str bow can poonage hybrids. BUT that is my opinion.

Howeverm hybrid bows do come with more work. Especially when it comes down to gear. I can still rock with a +3 set. Figure hybrids need something more.

I dont think there is much difference in PVP, besides that the hybrid will have slighty less HP. Both builds need to use PW to the max.

Other then bots with full sos and stuff I have never fought a hybrid I coudln't kill, but thats not to say I haven't been killed by one either.

Hybrids are good, they have their advantages and disadvantages, but the way most ppl talk about them they get over hyped, I think.

lol btw I say pwn as "poon" too, ever since I saw this old CS flash where the dude trys to get hax and gets a virus or something lol then goes on a school shooting spree :x.

Maybe bows are more dependant on the person knowing how to play the character than the other builds. So maybe it is not so much a matter of pure str or hybrid or even pure int on a bow character as knowing how to play your particular bow build to make it work.

Just a thought.

In adition to this statement. Here is the general rule with all builds not just bow.

more str= more hp less damage dealt
more int= less hp more damage dealt
This is how they balance out the game. You can not have both max hp/defense and max damage.

You have a choice most people pick one extreme or the other, but with some exceptions anywhere inbetween will also work.

To build or not to build, to play SRO or not to play, it is a personal preference I would say. :D

Bow is more of a Char if you like range damage. Many topics on STR bow fire/light or Hybrid INT bow fire/light or Hybrid INT bow ice/light has been discussed extensively in the forums.

You mentioned specifically about damage:

Pures STR have lower AVERAGE damage compared to Hybrids BUT Pures CRITS higher than a Hybrid.

That is why Hybrids do fairly well with PvE levelling whereas Pures have the PvP advantage as crits at some point do decide the outcome of the duel.

The success of any character, even to the extent of Pure INT bow (that is mostly regarded as a "weak char") pretty much depends on the player skills. I have seen too many bow users "stand and fight" - It is a total disaster for a ranged char and a waste of its attributes. :banghead:

80:80 is about physical and magical balance of a char, which is a 2INT:1STR allocation to stats point when you level up. You will have a char that is 70-ish% on physical and magical balances % without equipment. The 80:80 is achieve via balancing of equipments with STR/INT attributes on equipments, which is possible to a max of 5 INT/STR with the help of alchemy stones.

All I can say is:

* Pimped out Equipment - Check
* Pimped out Skill Tree - Check
* Playing a char that you like - Following the flow, because WhatHisName say it was good :banghead:
* Understanding the Char strength and weaknesses, and more importantly , how to play it - OMGWTFISTHAT ???!!
