Hi, ive used about 15 critical stones to get my glavie from crit 5 higher. about 5 failed, and the rest worked, but move it from 5 - 5... which doesnt make sence as it isnt increasing. do i just keep trying? or am i missing something?

bad luck thats all..

im using it on an sos lvl 42 glavie. is it harder to do alchemy on sos items?
could something have happend to the weapon that stops it from being able to increase crit?

no its just the weapon.

i had a 38+6 bow back in the day that wouldnt go above crit 2.

used 18 stones, which outweighed how much the bow was worth.

all in all, dont get too sucked into alchemy. especially on your spear cuz nukes cant crit.

keep tryin and it will improve eventually but alch's a pain in the a$$. havin 10/15 work is actually impressive...for me pinks work usually only 50% of the time.

maybe youll get like a 5>>7 after 10 stones .

and nukes cant crit, its not part of the game. when you do fire nuke or light nuke or cold nuke with a spear, it cant crit even with a crit 15 spear.

so if your strongest skill isnt able to crit, why waste gold raising crit.

i used like 20 stones on a glaive but all it did was fail and fail and fail

mrfudge ^^ hes alchemying a glavie not a spear. so yes, crit is important.

Just have to keep trying...usually i'll try a while, but if don't get a decent increase, I'll wait a day or so and try again...I always try after some good alchemy on something else, so I'm not so disappointed when it doesn't work . It will hopefully give you a decent result and obtain a good stat, but are you willing to keep pumping stones at it until you reach that goal? It could be the next stone, it may be 30 stones later...that's the gamble you take with alchemy.

sorry i meant to say spear not glavie.

i dont use my nuke skill that often anyway. im hybrid int, should i be using nukes? my mag attack power is pretty high anyway 830

on my old sos blade crit was like this:
6>6>6>fail>fail>2>2>2>6>8

and my sos glavie:
4>fail>7

BIG difference -_-

For my 42 bow ~

My farming bow: 5 -> 13. Crit stones are great

He's not trying to alchemize a Spear.

The max it'll go, though, is when it reaches 100%... you're Glavie is more like, around 20% - 40%... which means it could go a hella lot higher.
