Im a pure INT spear guy.
I got fire and ice.
Should i get cold-wave arrest or not?

It depends what are you going to mostly do?
PVE or PVP?
In PVE it's nice to have, but it's not necessary, but it's nice to have to slow them down.
In PVP, just don't get it. =]
-mostly opponents will have universal pills to cure frostbite, so don't get it.

So.. all in all it depends on what you're planning on doing.
Iuno about you but IMO, i'd just might add it and use it to frost bite monsters so they wouldn't attack you that fast since you're a pure int, you have low hp so frost bite might help you a little ^^
but that's just my opinion.

Cold Wave series is a waste of SP. It has very little effectiveness and can be pilled in less than a second. Why stop to give someone frostbite status when you could be hitting hard? Don't waste your time on it.

something ppl failed to mention, u can probly lion shout the same dmg faster than if u ice nuked

He's right ^^
Since you have low, i mean very low hp, if you use ghost walk when the other person is like half way doing his move, when you teleport out of there his move will cancel out and you'd be saved from that gawd awful move =]

well, grass/ghost walk aside, ints need the extra dmg boost from the dmg buff lighting tree offers. later in the game, the buff would add like 1.5k-2k dmg difference or soemthing XD

if u only want 2 force trees, generally, people go with lite (buff helps int builds coz its mag dmg, and the ghost walk/phatom) & either ice (coz of 90 skills) or fire (coz higher dmg).

im doing pur int s/s, fire/lite, i'll decide to get ice wen i see the new skills. its like aeons from now

wow there is sumthin i NEVER SEE
fire and cold and wanting to get the arrests
uhhhhh firstly frostnovas take care of the arrests and aid greaty in pve
2ndly cold nukes usually are equal dmg to shouts
3rdly light enables faster movement for less scroll and gold use and faster hunting stronger nukes and a nuke dmg inc AND pr ratio increase
cant forget bout parry ratio
