I'm level 25, and 7 gapping (i still wanna level a little) till i have 50k sp. I've been pure str so far. I've been hearing lately that STR hybrids do more dmg than pure STR. I was thinking about going 2:1 str hybrid. One of my friends also suggested going 10% int and the rest str.

What are your guys' thoughts on this?

Most definitely pure.

well, everyone is probably going to say pure str...

but you will grind faster with more int.


its really up to you.


i believe that full str archers are probably a bit better, simply because they need all the hp they can get.

Erm definately pure str. Hybrid int is kinda popular, but I've never even seen any decent str hybrids of any sort. The HP loss just isn't worth it imo

try the 70:70 balance...that could work imo, make sure you get much hp/mp/str/int on your gear tho (in the end 30, begin 40 that is)

bows have 1 advantage over the other builds. that is the crits.

go hybrid and you lose the crits. lose the crits and your build is worthless.

Yep, believe what the sheep tell you.. Whatever you do don't be a hybrid because they told you that. And don't use ice or aut arrow or the black bird.. (note the copious amounts of sarcasm)

I have a 2:1 hyb bow. My crits are crazy (ask anyone on xian that has been hit by one). I can hold my own at my lvl with no issues and have a great time fighting people of higher lvls with a decent enough win rate.

Note: the build does require extra work and you need to use the best gear you can get your hands on and keep your +int and +str at +5 on all pieces if you can but this build is a blast.

if you plan on pvping at all at a higher lvl go pure str

having +5 str and int on your gear as a pure str will give you the same effect (even bigger crits..)

Since you have all your gear with 5/5 str/int of course you can hold your own at your lvl.. Most people save it for when they start farming/reach cap.. (You don't see (m)any ice imunes for example at the lower lvls..)

90% str will give u at 80 cap with max gear 90% str 60% int thats imo the best

the present balance is 90 / 70 at lvl 75. I have 48 str and 46 int on the garm.

Yup im full str until lv 74, now i realise i may do too less dmg at 80 and 90 cap, and that at 90 cap there even will be potfight between pure str and hybrid int. So from now on i will only add int(for 15 lvls).

I honestly cant wait to pvp with you SSC. I am pure str lvl 69, so need to gain some levels before i will be able to dent you hp a bit.

But won't that weaken your crit?
You will not hit much harder, and your crit will lower.

or trying getting to 80:80 you won't die fast and you won't lose mp fast

pure str FTW Hybrids on my server do, do more dmg but die a hell of alot faster than pure str

ROFL Sure you can waste all your effort and time on alchemy....

OR you could have a build like Kharra's (Xian) and just pwn everyone with crap gear. LOL He is pure str bow with garment, none of it is max str or int, none of it is +5. No one can kill him and most run from him. He borrowed his friend's SOSun bow and NO ONE could survive him. He does the craziest dmg, its amazing.

emm will i started a new bow build and trying a different formula
one lvl i add the 3 points in str, the other 2str/1int

i think like that i will get a good phy balance and may be a fair mag

I know that you are really far away to be en newbie but, did you see the hibrid bows crits?

I'm 1:1 and I dont think at all that Ive loose crit power. Being hibrid you trade HP for Regular Damage but you dont trade your crits.

pure str fire bow ftw

seriously dude with the last 2 books of anti devil and a good crit bow you will be criting left and right.

that hp is might amazing, makes you really REALLY hard to beat.
and criting demon arrow is as good as it gets in this game.
