I am a Glavie.
Is it worth getting the chain spear attack series?
I have debated whether or not to get it.
After voting, it would be helpful to leave a comment or advice.

in my old pure int spear char..i used this combo for pve so much

well in pvp it can be less usefull cuz u might die if s/s or blader kd and stab u too much when u used this combo ....

if u r glaiver then its less effective in pvp but worth in pve....

i dunno why i said no for it..

but thats the opinion i knew

You will use chain spear pluto a shit load in pvp at higher levels.
It's basicly like using a super powerful 400% attack, but your crits won't be doubled... But they'll be multiplied by 1.25...

Hopefully you get what I'm saying

nah, if u can set up aggros then soul is all u ever need for pve

but if ur more of a one on one guy then y not? get it its good dmg

Well i have a lvl 38 spear nuker and my friend has a lvl 37 glaver, we talked about it and we relized that the only time we used it was when we where lvl 24, because we didn;t have that much skills so we needed it to fill the gap of time so we could make a never ending chain, but as u get around the 30 + yull never use it, because u get ur spear throw, and the second book of soul spear and such so yull never use it, i say no until u get into the 60s

If you are STR, get them for PvE only.
If you are INT, there is no need.

well i'm a pure int.. and if I get someone that is like 3 or 4 lvl's above me.. then that chain hurts.. cause I can't heal fast enough cause it's so much hits.. 2 of their highest chains and i'm dead.. but against same lvl's it's pretty useless imo... maybe at higher lvl's that will change.. dunno.

What is the point of getting the chain spear series if you have other skills that deal more damage?

Remember: one big hit > more small hits.

I did use it sometimes, but never in PvP.
Let me give you an example.
If you are pure STR glaive level 47+:
You can do chain spear shura and do more damage then a Soul Spear Truth. Let's say you crit one hit of the chain. But if you crit the Soul Spear you can do loads more damage in a shorter time.
Do you get my point?

So you can use chain spear in PvE -> it works good for that, but do not use it in PvP.

Yes, but its not critical that you get it.

I find it critical to get massive amounts of crits on an oppenant in a short amount of time...Such as after you stun them.....Also use if you want to drain there hp faster then auto-pot.

Definite must on my pure str builds...
