PURE STR on GARMENT/PROTECTOR/ARMOR?

i know that this question is n00bish but i don't really care. if anyone is interested to answer i am all ears:)
i made a pure str character and i have it on garment. Sure garment for a pure STR is the best when the build has made for pvp. but i take a lot of dmg in my quests (most of the mobs in DW/Hotan and jangan are dealing Phys. dmg and not magical)
i was wondering is a good idea to switch it now on protector or armor and at later levels 50+++ switch it again in Garment? what do you say?
what's my problem? with garment i need to many fcking potions even if my all items are SOS/SOM. dunno.... i was expecting lower dmg than the dmg i take now. Chest SOM, Accessories are all SOS, SHOES SOS, HANDS SOM etc..... all garment
i really don't know. what do you say about it?
Thank you very much:)

if u are grinding on red mobs, u will take great dmg no matter if u have soX. but soX still lowers the dmg

if u use garmets, u get speed & mp boost of 20%. meaning u move faster and use less mp pots. if u go prot, + 10% on both. armor none. but since most mobs do phy, armor would give u greatest protection, but you will lose the 20% boost, which means u'll end up using more mp pots.
in short, if u use garms, u'll use more hp and less mp, and if u go armor, its the reverse. i don't know if its a zero sum game, but either way, you'll end up using 1 pot (hp or mp) more.
id still go with garms coz of the speed boost alone. =) but since im doing pure int now, i use prot

my problems is NOT on mp potions. if someone decides to play a PURE STR CHARACTER knows that MP is too low. it's ok with this. but with garment i need HP potions too.... i can't do anything with it:( it's like i don't have phys. defence at all. i am very troubled with this thing.... as a pure str i should use only a few hp potions cause my hp is too much. (at lvl 33 i have 3k+) dunno..
i know the benefits of garment and protector but i really don't know what's better for me. is it a good idea to switch it now in protector and then in garment again?(garm. at higher levels) ? that was my 1st thought.
but i really don't know what to do. still... :/

with str characters hp potions heal more for them than it would for an int character.
so i would think using garment and receiving a 20/20 boost would be better since hp potions would heal more.
i think i'm right with that but the choice is yours of course.

Stay with garment. That 20% speed boost alone makes up for the benefit. With it alone u will grind alot faster, meaning that in the time u save, in theory u could earn back the extra money u spent on hp post. But also, by using less mp, u save money, hence compensating for the extra hp pots.
