how to LVL faster?? tnx

im a lvl31 pure str glave char with lightning at max. i got some cold skills to use for defensive reason - frost nova chain and the def increase passive buff and fire passive str damage increase i finished all my quest for my current level i added the lightning nuke which i found to be a mistake 
but fun to use none the less.
from this guide and the other guides i read this is good. even great since i might make a 2nd char for a pure int soon.
just a question, how do people level up faster?
i have two friends that started playing at the same time and they are at level 41 and 37 respectively and unfortunately every guide or build suggestions posted here are too far fetched for us to get at since are levels are half that on the forums. any advice would be great
