Why do people make such terrible builds?
And its not because they are noobs... hell the word noob is so missed used these days anyways (ex. Boot someone out of a party and getting a pm saying "ZOMG YOU NOOB!").

But anyways...
SRO is so geared towards PvP. After the auto pot update

Imbues -

ICE imbue became practically useless, lowest damage output and easily pilled. Not only that at a higher level with fire shield series your practically immune to status affects. Sometimes you will be able to freeze your target for a split second canceling their attack but with such low damage out put it does not matter.

LIGHTNING has the potential to deal a lot of damage with its status effect by reducing parry but then again it can be pilled instantly. You can also hit multiple mobs at the same time.

FIRE has the highest damage out put and its status effect does damage over time which can be pilled instantly as well. Why settle with lightning when you have fire?

Pure Int NuKeRs -
Two types of nukers
Offensive and Defencsive.

Lets face it, pure ints have the lowest amount of health of any other build in the game. Its understandable to die often, it happens. For that reason some players decide to put some points into Str... You know to give them like 1000 extra health. Others will get the ice imbue/nukes. For the same reason they don't want to die as often. The theory behind a nuker is to kill a mob before it even touches you hence One Shotting. The only time a nuker can't one shot a mob his/her level is because they have the wrong imbue or they are sp farming (with fire imbue, buff, you can one shot mobs your level and 9 gap).

Sword Nukers - Why do some nukers use a sword (+3,+5) and shield on mobs they can one shot with a spear (+0) but take two nukes with the sword (+3 , 5). Think about it...

Pure Str
If your going pure Str don't put points into int because your not doing enough damage. Your just going to ruin your build.

One build I've seen people talk about is a Str hybrid archer.
Alright think about it real quick. Pacheon has no knockdowns, no stuns, and no knock backs. With the reduces health your not going to survive long. Yes you do more damage but depending on how your distributed your stat points the damage is barely noticeable but your hp is.
I have seen 2:1 Str hybrid bows do awesome and kill fast, but the dude had an SoSun 64 +7 bow can't blame em. Then again with the 80 cap this is not a bad build because of the X-large pots... but this will change in 10 levels with new weapons. Have fun pwning for now.

But who em I to say whats a wrong and right build. I'm just saying that a lot of people reroll because they have such a messed up character. Others get frustrated with the game and quit.

Laughable but sadly true and common builds:
Pure int Bow Nuker - its like nuking with a sword without a shield.
Hybrid Str Blader/lighting imbue
Hybrid int glavie/ice imbue ice nukes


Mehh Builds (as in alright)
Pure Str Glavie Lightning/Cold imbue
Pure Str Blader Lightning/Cold imbue -gl

Hybrid Int Spears pwn tbh, and the reason some people use light immbude is because its easier to 0 gap.

It bugs me that theres only like two "good" builds...

I picked lightning sword, I want to have customization dangit.
Useless options annoy me.

As a int hybrid spear I can inflict more physical damage than a full str, build which can not kill me easily because of the extra hp I get from being a hybrid, heuksal and protector. I can not get one-shot by pure ints because of the extra int I have, which translate in a good magical defense. You can not say anything sucks at all without having tried before it.

The fact is that even tho the shield can be really useful, the dmg that spear can inflict when full int can kill s/s, but then again blocking ratio makes it a matter of chance.

Me, beeing a lvl 65 hybrid int spear with 7.5k hp and 95 mag bal.
I pwn glaviers in three skills, nuke, sss ghost spear mars, gg.
I can tank some glaviers for a while and the rest for enough time to outdamage em.
Some bladers are hard, but only the ones that have a really gd gear, otherwise they cant outdamage me and are quite easy to beat.
Pure int's GENERALLY can't one hit me and i one sss em, if i dont i just do ghost spear mars gg.
Archers...The archers i fought against erm, they did ok but, one nuke sss, ghost spear mars, with another sss would pwn em.
im not invincble, and i still die vs some pure strs and int's.
but overall i think this build is the one that has less weak points IF has a GD gear, otherwise it will suk ass.
It lvls fast, crazy crits, nice dmg, nice hp.
I love it even tho sometimes i hate it too but thats how any build is i think .

Pure int people use sword because of the aggresive mobs and respawn.

btw pure str Fire/lightning glavie is the best build out here.

I agrey with you. My guild master is hybrid spear cold buff, lightig, cold nukes. With equip 93% magical balance.
Me my self is hybrid to, 70:69 in balance with sos bow+3. At lvl 43 i kill pure int lvl 49 in one shot. Pure str glaiver lvl 49 50/50.

Playing only to be strong is boring in my opinion. I am a bower and I am not even thinking bout being the strongest player around. I play for fun and I have fun with this build. I love how it pisses people of in job wars or guild wars when I help my friends and pump some arrows for nice xtra damage in them.

why do ppl complain about other peoples builds? everyone can manage his char himself, its an _rpg_ ... you arent supposed to choose out of 2 or 3 perfect builds.

well first off i don't like hybrids either.. but they can be allright..imo you go hybrid cause you want it all.. hp and high dmg.. and what do ppl get that want it all.. yes at most a little of both.. so none really weak and none really strong. Wich means you gotta do a lot of alchemy to make up for your weaker build. Thought if you got pure str you can get more dmg witch alchemy and pure int can get more hp with alchemy.
So if you thought pure int is a expensive build.. go try hybrid.. then you'll really be poor through out the whole game..^^

int hybrid surely do more damage than pure str,whether it is nuke or melee damage...and of coz with imbue since physical attack alone not enough...but still melee damage still more than a pure str..

pure int kills int hybrid spear 1 nuke+gsm
pure str kills int hybrid hands down
pure str often kills pure int

you people fail to realize that at the current settings (cap, skills, etc), pure int only get strong at level 77+ since its almost a waste to add blues to lower level items. Hybrid int s/s might have a chance of staying alive against a pure str, but you'll most likely never kill it. All those hybrids beating pure str glaiver stories are only coz the glaiver doesnt have his 20k life with blues.
