im planning to go bow but i have 2 questions

1. shud i go for pure str?/pure intl?/ hybrid?(1:1,2:1,3:1)

2 what force is best for bow at low and high levels?

Ice make them freeze before get to you
and some str def when they get to you

i would do

hybrid
1:1 str/int
fire main element
lightning sub element

i saw a int lvl 30 bower/nuker, she totally demolished things

i think that intel will do better in a way, though it's damage is lower than other nuker class. meaning all ur attack will be ranged. wouldnt have to worry about ur low life unless pvp. just my oppinion

pure int, ice

good for lvling, since ice is useless in PvP since auto pot was implemted.

otherwise, go for the nuker build in the sticky.

And only learn bow skills that might be useful, like the range extender.

The build guide stickied here recomends fire/str build for the bow. I have followed this with my character, and I have to say, pure str makes an awesome build for the bow. I have tried pure int ice with the bow before (to level 21), but all your bow buffs are enhanced with strength. I have a pure str fire bow that is almost lvl 30, and I am doing close to 800 points on my crits, and taking out players higher than my level, and waxing npc ice thieves that spawn for higher level traders.

Fire/pure strength is definately the best for the bow.

I have toyed with the idea of using cold as a secondary, but since auto-pots are a very effective remedy against cold, I am thinking maybe lightning as a secondary. But maybe not. With fire/ pure str bow, you don't need a secondary.

My main char is a bow/str/fire, it was incredibal at low levels.

I would imbue+anti-devil bow, and the mob would die befor it even reached me. The crit with anti-devil, plus the dmg from the imbue, PLUS the damage from the burn effect of fire is a deadly combo, but that's just my 3 cents.

Str/Bow/Cold/Fire for Buff/Lightning for Run Buff

That is my build. At lv29, the damage is excellent, I hardly use any pots due to Force skills and I'm loving it in general.

I did modify it slightly, adding some Lightning for Grasswalk (and, since it was there, the Must Force thingo).

ok so i put points into cold/intl for no reason

o well ill say bb to my 1400 farmed sp

and make a new character

...I was a pure INT with the cold imbue and anti-devil bow, and I also killed all mobs before they touched me at low levels.

I still do it at lvl29. =/

Well I would do what you think would be fun.

I think a high level above average char would be fun, so I would go with a pure build. But some of us don't want the cookie cutter, and think they can make a funner cookie without the cutter. I say, have at it!

i have several thing sto say after i read this forum 1, ice is not useless becuase of the autopills i think they jus added that to make easier n to make ice more fair to the other forces : ), if u dont believe me fight a ice blader that has chains ull be freozen the whole time even though ur usn pills

ok back to the bow build i think that the bow is made for hybrids : p
for several reasons have u noticed the bow phys dmg is higher than the sword/spear but lesser than the glaive/blade and that its magical atk is stronger than a glaive/blade but weaker than a spear/sword. Hybrids can do phys and magical atks unliek the pure builds majic or str. if u go pure int bow whats the use when u wont even use the bow? might as well use spear or sword for the xtra majic dmg cuz u wont be using bow atks if ur pure int since its mostly based on str and pure int jus nuke everythn n thats how they lvl.

now if u go pure str "I" think that is a better build than a pure int bow since u got range+high health+good damage, kind of like a bow tank lol.
i dont know how good a pure str bow build is though since ive never tried it but i think it might go pretty nice with ice, since u shoot freeze run bak
bow nuke n so on, i kno that this build is good at pvp (no pots) because u get a range head start with the same health as a pure str and if ur pvping a pureint im pretty sure 1 critical will kill him or 2 good shot or at the most 3

Now what i really think is that the best build for a bow is a hybrid, i really dont kno which is better the 2 str 1 int or 1 1 or a 2 int 1 str, matters how u really wanna go, each has its weaknesses n str.

Hey guys Im new to all this and wanted some advice!

I am making a lvl19 Bo/Cold/Force char and have been putting the points mainly on MP (1000 ish)and less on HP(900) what should I do next?

As I hear alot about Fire Im thinking of starting all over again? do I have to start over or can I still make my char into a Good fighter?

Help pls Im confused!?

Well im pure STR/BOW/FIRE/LIGHTNING(buffs) I can hit pretty hard, just cold is annoying

i recommend pure str for bow because of the 350% skills on it, also try get high critical bows +3 at least for more damage

So is it best to carry on with this character or to make a new one with Fire and Mainly Str

I dont want to lvl more if My cha is not going to be good for all round pve and pvp etc

btw whats Str and Int?

str= Mp Int = Hp?

str = hp and phy dmg
int = mp and magic dmg

well it depends on how you want your character, you can start over and fund for better armour and weapons, or you can carry on, if you get to 30+ i recommend not starting again all those anoying quests like the Taoist charms and gun powders

Well for me, I chose pure str / fire / lightning.

Here are my ponits:
pros:
- burn effect aids in faster killing
- fire has a higher damage imbue
- passive skill is increased damage
- lightning as secondary is because of the grasswalk
- lightning imbue is to decrease enemy dodge rate. using it with white hawk, damage inflicted skews to the higher extreme of your damage range (this is my observation). Then I use fire imbue
- fire has magic defense
- str/fire/lightning for me is for fast killing.

cons:
- more mp pots
- no "slowing down" the enemy
- less physical defense compared to ice imbue

anyways, I like to kill faster foir faster lvling.

nuker build, ye they pretty annoying, but i think pure int is just easy way to doing alot of damage when around lvl 30, but strength have to wait a bit on skills, like devil arrow lvl 69 and strong bow series

kool Im going to do Str/Bow/Fire/Light and I wil put a few points on Int just a few so I can do spells once and refill with pot after is that a good idea?

started new char on Athens Im now lvl 10

I'm a almost pure Str bow user that uses cold. I really like it. I've also got lightning to max grasswalk. I'll be adding the light imbure soon.

Typically if I hit monsters from range they are dead before they get to me. I use almost no HP pots, but I go through MP pots pretty well. I also use protector armor WITH STATS. As you will get hit less use armor that has stats like STR for me. This is more important than the defense as 1. I get hit less and 2. I have alot of HP.

Because the Def isn't as important you can forgo spending money on SOS armor and focus on whats important, your weapon. Get the best you can afford once you get to level 30ish. Remember they usually resell for what you paid so you'll get your money back.

it does similiar damage to cold, except that it hits multiple monsters for when you are working on a boss and get aggroed.

Also grasswalk is a lightning skill and fyi it works just as well for strength users.

second thought go pure str bow/fire with smidge o light

maybe str archer is best with fire,
and int archer is best with...maybe cold?-light either way fine perhaps?^^

and if my character lvl 22 hybrid(1:2)/bow/cold/force have chance to survice at high levels or if i have to change my skills or weapon
pls help me in my quest it really hard to build a good character
fyi i prefer pve than pvp
