How to minimize being KS-ed when you're a Glaiver?

Hi Folks!

I'm a noob and my 1st character on SRO is a Pure STR Fire Glaiver, currectly level 21. What skills/tactics (at my level) besides GrassWalk can help to get monsters coming towards me ... or me to them faster... or cut down the range advantage of bowman, etc. I've considered carrying a bow just to get a shot off to get monsters coming my direction and then bring out the glaive.

Please help,

You can't do anything really.. grind to lvl 31 then you have the flying dragon-flow skill.

COMPLETE FABRICATION!!!

Just use shock shout (lvl 17, lightning). Keep it at level one. If you JUST want to attract a mob use it. It will do like...1 damage essentially since you're pure str.

Alternatively, if you have the ice tree, you could get the ice freeze thing that shoots the ice ball and does one damage. You shoot it at 1 mob, kill another, by the time the first one shot reaches you (b/c of frostbite) you'd have killed teh first one. //I only added this one for you b/c it has a more massive range than shock shout.

There are a lot of glaiviest who get the light nukes (shock, tiger, wolf) becuase they're good for attracting multiple mobs and grinding on multiple mobs at the same time.

Thanks Egyptology for the post, I thought I was doomed for a moment. I will add "shout". I do have the ice passive (level1), so depending on how well "shout" works I may try the ice skill you recommended.

Remember though, this does no damage. It's not until 31 that you can do long range damage.

That's OK, damage is not the priority. I'm farming and want the mobs headed my way!

I have seen a video on youtube of a glavier using a bow. He was very succesfull at agroing mobs. I would try the lion shout first though it seems easier, but lacks the range of the bow.

Totally not worth all the pots she spent.

If you're a nuker you can just use light nuke/flame wave burning/wide (or snow storm ice rain), then use aoe close ranged attacks or aoe nukes & stuff... Faster, kills more, and you only use like half an hp pot per mob.

In the end , trust me..... it sux.....i end up red name :banghead:

just try to find u a spot that has decent spawn and little to no ppl, thats wat i do....or have ur higher lvl int guild member ks them until they move :roll:

lol, theres no real way to stop getting ksed, exept for 1 getting shock lion shout because 40 % or more of the players that are on are botters so people usualy set there bots to not ks, so yull get the first hit and theyll run away, and also find places where not manny people are like when ur fighting hyungno at the top left corner not many peopl are there. Usualy people are just looking for the first spot to train, so takking that extra step to finding a good place can be realy good, like instead of going to the 1st bridge at the dead revine go to the 3rd, because its farther people tend not to go there
