I've read some sp farming guides and they say to be pure int or pure str. Since I'm going to be int hybrid, it doesn't really matter since I can balance it out as I lvl. So should I go pure int with prot/armor or pure str with garment/protector?
I play on ksro, finding a good bow could be a problem and also no gt or pet unless I find someone selling one. Thx.

Since you're going to be hybrid, go pure int from the start. You can get a sos +5 bow and own the bandit archers. I only have a +3 sos and full int, and can almost 1 hit. I've got a pure str char that can't come close with same bow and nice blues.
Pure str requires nice blues and a minimum bow of som + 3 to 1 hit them (unless you crit of course).
Bandit archers are int based mob, so if you plan on being there a good while, go pure int and either protector or garment. I chose garment for the movement bonus & reduced magic consumption.
