that is my guide i am going by.

i am not using the fanning spear series or the fire shield series because i dont have a shield.


so my question is could i instead level up ice guard and max it? or will that screw up my mastery total level? (i think it will)

And how come at lvl 69 my skills will all be maxed when the cap is 80? Shouldnt joymax make new skills!!! lol you need somthing to work towards and theres nothing after lvl 69.

a shield just to cast the shield buff and then
switch back to your glaive keeping the buff

would that be worth carrying a shield around and taking up inventory? does anyone with glaive use this buff? sounds like it would help out with abnormal status very efficiently.

id say just put a shield in your inventory

and im not a str glavier but i do know it can be done.
maybe some str glavier can answer this

spear user here and yes i carry around a shield around my lvl with a high block ratio so if i get knocked down i switch to it hoping for a block. I use the shield for that buff too. 1 invtry space isnt going to kill you, plus at later lvls this buff reduces 75%+ of the ice frostbite/freeze and can make you immune to it with status reducing blues on accesories.

pure str glaive... and yes. It's pretty sweet actually. You can buy a lvl 1 npc shield or one you just picked up and equip, cast, unequip. Helps a lot against those annoying mobs. I also use fanning spear though as that protects against the magic attacks. Being pure str, it comes in handy to have as much magical protection as possible.

Carry a shield in your inventory and when youre getting mobbed by monsters or KD in PVPs, take it out Oh yeah, the shield buff will make you immune to ice, poison, fire, shock and zombie when it's maxed.
