Im a Pure STR Ice blade... I have no intent on changing to fire.

Did I fail at Silkroad because of this

I think you should change to fire. Ice bladers used to be very strong at the 60 cap, then the alchemy update and the fire shield came along. Ice bladers are now disconsidered. Change to fire for more damage. you will love switching to fire, believe me.

oki put it this way til 60+ youll do ok then people will start to be ice immune and then youll switch to fire, i mean youll have fire anyway as it has all the buff a str needs.

But the thing is.. I don't want to switch. I was a fire blade once and deleted it in favor of this guy.

I know what is coming already... "prepare for a grind and not being able to kill anything"

The way I see it is... at higher levels virtually nothing can kill nothing (Thanks to XL and autopot fun) anyway so i'm not that bad off.

better change to fire..

i was an ice blade too, and i switched to fire
you already have good defense because you are a STR blader,
why not get some attack and magic defense? instead of more defense

ice now is useless try fire and u'll enjoy it

Just watch that video, it made me inspired to make a ice blader now.

ice & kd dont go together, & as a pure str blader you already have enough phy.def...ice is pointless for a pure str blader

just don't consider the damage thing. but u will lose the effect of the ice imbue (freezing ppl), cuz many ppl are immune to ice (like me). so what's the point of using ice imbue at all? i use fire because it does more damage. it's that easy. ppl use ice, because they want to slow the enemy. but, if u can't slow the enemy, whats the point of being an ice blade?

you are getting responses from lvl 6x, 7x, 8x guys.

heres one from a 40x.

you can still own people with ice blade, because billow and blood chains break through the pills at our levels.

you will render nukers useless, and the soul spear series takes too long, your ice will shatter through and you will win.

you need a nice blade though to make up for the lost damage.

Ice was ment to fight along other people ^_^

Well you have the fire tree just for buffs right? Get fire imbue and use it for PvE

Keep leveling Ice imbue for PvP. Shoudln't cost that much SP

pure STR Ice? useless. well, u have to get FIRE anyway.

yea i have to agree with everyone else, my blader used to be ice but now i changed it to fire also, the dmg simply wasn't doing it like someone else in the thread said

You guys do noticed that imbue, doesn't matter if it's ice, light, or fire; it doesn't make much of a differ for pure str characters. Since, it's such a small diff even with imbue, why not go with ice imbue.

Just to balance the argument, you need the fire tree anyways, since pure str has shi tty magic protection, you would need the fire protection series to up magic defence.

I think you guys are missing the point.

By that level, people are immune.

Get both? Also the fire shield ice immunity thing is suppose to be a status effect instead of a percent so that might get changed making ice bladers useful again.

Being a ice blader is only good when people aren't immuned to ice.

but ice immunity is a bug, right? So once it's fixed will they still be that bad?
