im lvl 16 with a glaive and dont know whether I should do int. or str. Also what is the difference? Is int. use magical attacks like "fire" and "ice"?

Is str. for the "heuksal" skills?

Also, what should I concentrate in doing, the "ice" "fire" or "lightning"? Which is the strongest and best for a glaive fighter?

Should I do int. or str? Could somebody more experienced help me? Im trying to get the best build for the long run. thanks a lot and thanks again for the previous help.

First of all, stop posting so many topics. Go all str if you are glavie. Get fire imbue and the phys buff. Get lightning for grasswalk. AND LOOK AROUND BEFORE ASKING THESE QUESTIONS

Coming from a guy with 11 posts. Nice try. Anyways, I didn't know much when I started, but if I had a question I would find the answer in previous threads. Not create a new thread. Look in the guides, use the search button? Don't get angry because you are getting flamed by people. The reason you are getting flamed is because there have been about 300 other topics that people have posted exactly like yours. Learn from them. kthx

i didn't asked everything either, just learned from the guide.
so stop flaming and go read

NOTE: There is no need for this kind of flaming. Cease and desist.

Jstar1:

First of all, decide what kind of build you want to have. Do you want to sacrifice HP for lots of damage, or do you want moderate damage and lots of HP?

INT heavy characters hit very hard using magical attacks such as imbue and nukes. However, they have little HP and are very vulnerable. Because INTs have little STR, their physical attacks are weak, and so must be imbued in order to do any considerable damage.

STR characters have mediocre damage -- they don't hurt as much as INTs do, but they have lots of defense and HP. As such, they are more adept at tanking and surviving hits. They mainly use physical weapon skills, along with an imbue for extra damage. When pure STRs make a critical hit, their physical damage doubles. Crits mean almost nothing to a pure INT.

Usually, both builds will use a main weapon tree, and a main force tree. Then, there are sub trees from such supplemental skills are taken. Both INT and STR characters in the game can use Heuksal, not just STR.

The glaive has the higher physical damage out of the two "Heuksal" weapons, and so it is traditionally used by STR characters. If you want to go STR, use a glaive. Use a spear if you go INT.

There really is no best build. Each has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. Just experiment and see which one you like best.

Oh thank you

But is what suicidegirl said true? That INT hybrids are the way to go and STR hybrids are really bad?

These days, int hybrids are very popular. You get almost all the damage of a pure int, plus some extra HP and defense to tank. I don't know that str hybrids are bad, but there seems to be more uncertainty about them. The general view on str hybrids is that they are weak -- they lack the HP and defense of a pure str, and their crits hurt less. However, there are successful str hybrids out there. It really boils down to a matter of opinion. There are 2 sides to every coin.
