Help with pure INT S/S build

Post by streetrobban »

Hello!

I recently started a new char and Im gonna try pure INT S/S build. Ive had a hard time finding out what skills to add for the sword.

Strike n' smash books - NO
Illusion chain books - YES
Castle shield books - YES
Soul cut blade books - NO
Blood blade force books - YES
Flower bloom blade books - YES
Snake sword dance books - NO
Shield protection books - YES

Is this correct? I know what nukes to add, but not what to add for the sword - since this is my first sword char... thanks :)

Actually, chains can be good in PvE for dealing quick, successive damage to mobs. So you might want to think about those, although you will probably be nuking for the most part. Also, the Blade Force series is a fast, low MP cost skill that, when imbued, can do decent damage -- perhaps as a finisher. You could add only the first book or so if you wanted. It is more effective for hybrid ints. Other than that, it looks good.

y castle shield no? in PvP castle can prove to b the winning pt for tt 15 sec phy def increase , which pure int is already weak in( and considering he doesnt hv cold tree for phy def )

i would say the MUST bicheon skills are castle shield, KD, stab, passive..soul blade or chain is realli up to u..it can b useful but not necessary for nukers and their phy dmg isnt tt great

get all of them even if some seem useless

a pure int already need to farm a Hell lot of SP for the nukes and force tree...if u wanna add to the burden and spend 2/3 months of extra farming just to up something not useful...u will cry
:P
just an opinion

What I do ( and I'm happy with it ).

Put 1 point at least in Chains and Smash. Why ? Because untill lvl 30 you need phys skills to kill faster because you're int, so little HP is your doom. With illusion or chains and a good lvl imbue you're deadly.

Castle is a no reply question. GOT IT. When you're hitting a mob and a Champion or Giant spawned right besides you, castle shield will keep you alive. And 15 seconds it's a lot of time if you know what to do.

Soul cut. Got lvl 1. It's a weak attack, but when you reach lvl 30 and got nukes, you'll see a weak attack + fire or light imbue lvl 30 do a great damage, for 1x1 PVE I use fire imbie+fire nuke+soul cut. If more then 1 mob is attacking me, just use fire imbue + light nuke + lion shout. Hehehehe, 3 mobs down ! :D

Blood and flower is without question like castle shield. A MUST. What can't touch you can't hurt you, KD and stab is a wonderfull move ( but if it fails you have chains and smash to finish the mob untill the kd cooldown finish).

Snake sword is like a lion shout for STR builds, so put 1 point in it ( like soul cut 1 and together with fire imbue you'll have a good move.

Shield is a must, another great protection for int build, a good BR shield ( 17 or 18 at least ) with the shield passive can save your life several times.

Level the snake dance, and the petal dance also. They are fully worth their SP>>> check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIkZOEIBcNs Perhaps it will make you reconsider the idea:

so,
smashing series: NO
chain sword: OPTIONAL
castle shield: MUST
Blade force: OPTIONAL
KD: MUST
Stab: MUST
Snake dance: MUST
Passive: hella MUST.
Carry your cross, and I'll carry mine.

+1

Get all 3 blade forces if you have the sp. They're fun to play around with.
