Hello, I recently started playing SRO and i've made my choices with weapons etc but i'm wondering if i've made the right choices, i'll list my masteries etc and any advice is welcome.

Lightning Mastery
Cold Mastery
Pure INT

Is this a good combination or am I going wrong somewhere?

yeah int users need fire mastery. The nuke is the strongest and the fastest

Thanks for the reply i'll work on my fire mastery aswell as the other two. I forgot to mention my armor choice is Protector is this a good choice for a Pure INT and also should I consider putting a few points on STR or just go full INT?

get both nukes. use 1 while the otehr cools

go full int.
if you want to become hybrid you can always put some str in at higher levels
pure int levels quickest at first

yeap .. the answers are out there ... weapon/fire/light. cold till 23 or 30 for the frost nova or lvl 1 nuke.

yeah int users need fire mastery. The nuke is the strongest and the fastest

you dont really need fire. it can be a sub as well. alot of pure ints have light as a main imbue.

It's all based on personal preference. If your a full 'hard on' nuker and have gone all int and no str for hp, you need to kill stuff absolutely as fast as possible. My recommendation would be to go fire. I've tooled around with my friends lvl 57 nuker and personally I think it'd suck without fire. Plus you get the uber shield glowy thing

if u are maxing both fire and light, there is no reason not to have fire imbue as main for max dmg.

pure INT spear kill lot faster coz hi dmg from spear compare to sword.. spear user also die alot while lvling compare to s/s user.. dont tank several mobs unless u can kill them faster.. if u encounter a giant just pull it away from spawns then kill it.. so ur light nukes not hit other mobs..

S&S will b pure int coz u gt a shield but dmg lower, so u nid go pure int to compensate for lower dmg

but pure int spear is realli fine...juz put a few pt into str in higher lvl when u feel ur hp is not enuff

PS: cold tree is realli optional coz spear passive > ice guard + ice armor
so u can save more time SP farming for the cold tree..3 trees are enuff for hybrid int spear..but if u hv extra SP .. why not

as a hybrid you do less dmg.. so you need the extra dmg from a spear.

As you can tell from the responses it all comes down to personal preferance. No one can agree on whats best.

Max the LIGHTNING tree.... It gives you the magic increase buff(piercing force), which is extremely important for all intel characters.
The curse of lightning to pure ints is the splash attack. This attracks multiple mobs to you which = death.
Splash also has benfits for trading and guild wars where hitting more than one thing is beneficial.

A pure intel spear deals the most damage in this game. It is also dies the easiest. Thats your tradeoff. Many people go hybrid to increase HP at the sacrafice of reducing your damage output.

The fire tree can help you become immune to ice attacks at high level and has a powerful nuke and imbue.

I have heard that the lightning imbue actually does more damage when combined with a nuke. A guy tested the third book of fire imbue VS 3rd book lightning imbue with a nuke and the lightning imbued nuke did consistently more damage than the fire imbued one. He could have been lying, but at least he tested it. Everyone here that says fire is better is just repeating what the guy before him said.

Ice increases your defence(defense buff, and passive) and slows down your enemy(imbue) making it the best for survivability against mobs. It also is the most annoying and possibly the best imbue for pvp(it can cancel there attack if they freeze). If they are immune to ice however, it is then considered the worst imbue because it deals the least damage(This is what I have heard). I dont know how much less damage.

Thanks for all the advice, after getting bored of spear/glavie i've decided to delevel it and take up SS. Fair enough it's costly but the extra defence should help out my pure INT in later levels, or i'm hoping anyway.

Well basically everything people posted still applies to s/s, so.... what trees did you decide to lvl??

Well my main has been lightning but i'll be catching up with fire until it becomes my main. Being a nuker, fire haas to be the best choice from what i've read/learned.

you do need ice cause of the ice buff that helps you but you should add fire cause the fire nukes are the most powerful
