CHANGE TO SPEAR??? wise idea this far in?...HELP PLZ!

i am lvl 37 hybrid INT sword&shield...mag. balance 85% with nothing on.....i have hueskal to lvl 20 already for passive...(HP increase)

should i go ahead and change to spear with my mag. balance being so low, b/c with spear, u have stronger mag. atk

plus i can stun, and do the knock-back and jump down moves.....is this better than kd+stab+defense increase of sword&shield????

But, either build i go.....main atks still gonna be nukes

is this a wise decision or not???

NEED HELP PLZ!

your post is a common one but takes lots of thought.

the sword and shield hybrid at higher level is probably one of the best in the game. but only shines after the mid 50s.
the spear does more damage but is less vulnerable than the sword but it levels fast. it shines since lv 1.
at high levels, the sword and shield hybrid has a higher chance of winning than the spear

u could leave curse hearts much later unless u are already hitting 300 max, which is unlikely since u are 37.

u could have both spear and sword skills to wield 2 wpns. and enjoy best of both worlds (but will be a tough choice when caps go to 90 with new skills released for 71-90)

u could max sword skills for pvp while use minimal spear skills while leveling/farming. or u could do the reverse to concentrate on maxing spear skills and using sword while doing giants/uniques since u get more defense.

many nukers level up using spear while maxing their sword skills for pvp. how much spear skills? it really depends ... stopping at 19 to get L1 ghost spear is the minimal to go for. anything more depends on individual.

perhaps making your mag balance 85% at L37 is too soon. perhaps add all int first and then start adding str at 60 or 70.
