u will need much more sp than 20k at lvl 60

u can get much more at lvl 60, well 70 now, just sp farm at the cap, easy... but the advice is good, building up 20k to lvl 60 would help a lot, and not much sp farming along the way...

with farming at 2 lvl gap, are the sp sufficient to learn up the desire skills, esp at the later stage of game?

if so, y ppl still need to farm so much at says lvl 16 or at a gap of 5 - 9 lvl?

Raikirri explained it to me like this:

most STR builds do not need much SP farming, most INT builds do.

For the most part, people SP farm early (level 16 with a 9 level gap) so they can play the rest of the game at a 0-1 Level/Mastery Gap

If you don't farm (or don't farm that much) you'll be forced to play with a 3-5 Level/Mastery Gap for the rest of the game to earn enough SP

no wonder, i farm a bit at lvl 20, abt 2k+ sp... farming too boring!!

now lvl 31 with the highest masteries lvl 30, i got only left <50sp.. i think i'll got prob to learn up new skills..

btw, i'm hybrid and i just plug in the skills from 4 out of 6 masteries (ranges from lvl20 - lvl30).. my sp burnt out very very fast

It pretty much differs from person to person because people have different want/needs of skills

DAMN 20k! :O!~ Seriouslly, if you're going to sp grind, SP Grind. And if you're going to lvl Grind, you get the point. I've gotten about 3-4k sp easilly in lvl44 I think if I save up til 60 i'd have about 30k+

The koreans do it from level 14-20 with a 9 mastery gap, meaning
NO LEVELING WHAATSOEVER occurs for a long time.

Im personally following the following strategy for SP farming (outlined in a guide in the FAQ section).

Level 1-9 Save ALL SP, buy no masteries
Level 10: Rank your Weapon and Elemental masteries to 5 and grab your basic atk skill and imbue.
Level 11-13 No Skills spent
Level 14- 6 Ranks
Level 16- 9 Ranks
Level 18- 12 Ranks
Level 19-28: 6 Rank Gap
Level 29-30: Spend no points
31-37: 8 Rank Gap

This allows us to level up and still earn hardcore SP without running at a 9 rank gap forever. After level 37 you are free to level masteries up and keep a one or 2 rank gap in masteries.

I dont get it.What does "Ranks" mean?Is it your lv/mastery gap or highest mastery at that time?

EDIT: ok that felt oddly useless, Im not finding i neeed the skill point farming as bad as i want, and at this point i feel like GOUGING MY BLOODY EYES OUT(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11!1o!11n1!e1!!1) from all the freakin SP farming. Thus i have reached a happy medium. I am going to stop with my 280 some SP and actually proceed to level up. I only have 2 specialized mastery trees, so i should be able to get by on a 5 mastery gap from level 10-20 and then a 3 point mastery gap from level 21+. At any time i can stop and allow this to build should i find my SP drained badly. I figure with only 2 trees needed to level each level i can manage fairly well...


Time to go PLAY the game for once...

on topic: since i keep dying through lag at scorpions ill have no problem getting a few k SP before lvl 34. if i made a new character id SP farm i reckon..pure int spear ice...

At level 21, I have roughly 3k banked so far. I don't really care how much I have banked, and I'll probably just run a gap of 3ish depending on if I need more or less sp as time passes.

That, and I've been murdered 3 times in the past 2 days. So, I figure with the acumulated deaths between murder and mobs, I'll have plently of SP as time passes.

i keep a 2 lvl distance on my glaivesman too, and he's fine...after about an hour or so, i find that he can learn up a skill, or mastery lvl

and for some reason I can see Freedom shouting as he typed this post...

when i type, the little voice in my head yells when i go all caps... no joking there... lol..

Anyway i trashed that cuz its just as bad as the other way of SP farming, im just gonna run a 6 lvl gap for a long time and i should be able to scrounge the necessary EXP.

ooo okay.

well i think i'll stop soon then. i'm lvl 25 with 11k of SP farmed.

i get one SP per kill.

Plus, i'm str/glavie so i guess i don't need that much SP.
