Skills: Ice vs. Bicheon

I have recently created a new char, a hybrid int spear user. I was sure about my skills, having
Heuksal - main weapon, hp increase from passive
Fire - main force, imbue, nuke
Lighting - buffs, nuke
Cold - defensive things
My main point in cold was the passive (which gives a phys def increase) and the Guard of Ice (which gives the same type of defense). Then while browsing the skills I have taken a look at the Ironwood shield - give more then 400 phys def! The weak guard of ice only gives 2 (yeah, I know weak guard of ice is a low level skill while ironwood is high level). While the bicheon skill only lasts for 15 seconds, it can still be a life saver IMHO. INT builds have low phys def, so we need them. Maybe it would be better to drop Ice and take Bicheon instead? It could give me a lot of tactical options then I hope. What do you suggest? Also, what mastery allocations do you suggest then?
Thanks
