Ice Tank

I just made a new character, hes going to be a tank ice sword/blade. But, I'm abit confused weither he should be Str or Int. Right now he has 41 Str and 29 Int.

Also, what kind of skills will you suggest for a tanking character ?

for a tank? STR. str gives you physical defense and HP, so it's the only way to go if you want a pure tank.

STR for tank... an int char has no hp, making them the worse tankers possible

which does more damage? full int

How about Ice skills ?
I was told that I should leave Max Rivers at low level and max out the defence buff such as Weak Ice or something.

After that, what else is good for a tank character ?

yes.. knockdown is very good for pvp.. i would say chain is more for lvling

no dont waist ur sh1t on force ya u can ress an heal but its not worth it the guy next to you dies thats his fault not urs no pity for the dead lol anyways yes pure str blade ice is very very nice only problem ull have is fight the same lvl or higher glavie it will be an endless fight till the pots go unless hes just a noob glavie ull experience this kinda difficulty at lvl 42** but this is reletivly since they put the auto pots in wich is only for short period of time they only put it in cuz of the increase in lag when they fix that byebye auto potting so noone cling to it for to much.. anywayz lots say pure str fire blade is better than ice yet i say if u wanted to go with fire then u shoulda just gone with glavie. difference in damage is slight different but ppl make it sound like it is a drastic change in damage. yes ppl can cure ice with a uni pill the thing is at least before the auto pots is it wasnt so quick for some ppl to constantly hit the uni pills. to many ppl neglect the the force of ice although ur a tank ur ideal of backing a pure int up in battle is ideal ive played many games where the tank was key in battle its the same in this . but!, if u just wanna be top dog dealing damage in a 1 on 1 i guess ur option is only pure str fire glavie wich i dont care for cus simple fact is ill tank that pure str ultra fire gLaViE while my partner in the back is nukin him done deal the guy is dead.

I have another question,

Would it be wise to spend some SP into Fire for fire river (lvl1), fire shield, flame body, basic fire protection and passive ?
Of course, I won't spend alot in it.

Or

Should I spend some points into Lightning ?

(Keep in mind, this is mainly for pvp)

ahh see both have very nice additives but #1 thing is u need ur speed like i siad im pure str blade ice i have no range attacks there for ppl try an run from me in battle cus they no i cant just nuke them or shoot em dead with an arrow. so lvling grasswalk up is key i wear garment too got high defense in phys so i wear garment for awesoem defense in magic an also the concentration skill raises ur parry ratio means ull get hit with less damage the must flow piercing class is also good even tho ur a pure str it still adds bonus damage to when u imbue wich does help, but then again fire has some narly buffs like the resistants to magic damage an phys damage ups. relativly i stick with speed and parry ratio for less damage being takin so this is really up to how u wanna go about it

Concentration requires lvl23 Lightning Mastery, which is alot of SP. If I go into Fire, I can do more damage and get more Mag Def, Basic Fire Protection only requires lvl17 Fire Mastery.

I think you can get more out of Fire than Light, because of the Mag Def and Physical Attack bonus, only downfall is the speed, like you mention. If I just want to pvp face to face, will the fire be better ?

If I could get some more opinions, that'll be great!

to an extent it will be better but the thing is if ur fighting oh a glavie and hes got a lvl 7 grasswalk where as u have none. the fight will be BS cus hell run circles in front of u while u try to play catch up lol so to no avail theres not much a fight there. but for u being pure str blade just wear garments an always buy 16+ block ratio shields i normaly will only buy an use an 18 block ratio ppl try nuking me it gets block if it hits me oh well im wearing good garment an have lots of hp so i just hit a pot in an thats a done deal

Ice wall is uselss unless you hit them with range, that's what I heard.

I've got a few more questions:

1. Does anyone know if skills such as Weak Guard, Fire Shield and Flame Body stack ?

2. Another question about stacking skills, will Weak Guard, Soft Guard and Power Guard stack ? meaning I can cast all three and it'll add up.

3. If I hit them with Ice River, and then hit them with River Fire will they get frozen and burnt at the same time ? or do I have wait till one runs out ?

2. no they will not stack so use ur best one

3. yes u cant hit them with both status's well, all three to tell u the truth suks

being frozen an frost bitten an electricuted with a little burning going on

sounds good to me. once you can get the other chains you can sub one of them for the illusion, but otherwise, yea. depending on the situation, i'll sometimes leave the chains out of the mix altogether for pvp, but for pve, the chain seems better to me.

I'm a nuker but not necessarily full int.. about 95%. Only about 15 mag. dmg behind a full int.
