level 17, thinking of switching to blade
ive got level 14 glavie and 14 lightning, but from what i hear, im thinking switching to sword/lightning. Im pure str, and the only skills ive added are the wolfbite, the demon spear, and the level 14 one whos name escapes me at the moment. If I do switch, what skills in bachion should i add?

i switched at level 15ish, and love it, so if you're asking my opinion, go for it. but really it's up to you. i haven't run into any problems with SP or anything, so don't worry about that if it's all that's stopping you.
people say blade levels slow, but i don't see that so much, so eh. i certainly can't see it being double the speed with a glaive. i kill stuff just fine, so i don't know where this comes from. from what i can see, the DPS is almost the same, since blades hit so much faster.

yea, but the chain series is 5 different skills, and you can also use the knockdown skills, which can do some nice damage themselves. so it's not like there's only 2 skills.
nobody ever talks about the sword dance series tho, and i don't have it either. maybe i should get it just to try it out, since i've never heard anything good or bad about it. i mean, people talk like it doesn't exist or something... anybody have any experience with it?

hmm, thanks for the sword dance info.
as for knockdown, yea, i normally only use it on bigger stuff, champs at the very least. but i mean, you don't use every spear skill on every mob, do you?
as for the spear chains vs blade chains:
blade:
lvl 7 : 18-22(67%) x3
lvl 29 : 71-86(61%) x4
lvl 29 : 71-86(68%) x5
lvl 51 : 176-215(76%) x4
LVL 51 : 176-215(92%) x5
glaive:
lvl 24 : 67-86(91%) x3
lvl 47 : 184-236(57%) x4
lvl 47 : 184-236(78%) x5
so yea, the glaive skills you can get before the more equivalent blade ones, about 4-5 levels. but you get 2 options for the lvl 2x ones, instead of just one, and it's only 3 hits for glaive instead of 4 or 5 like the blade's.
but if you look at the numbers, yea, the glaivers have more base damage, but the % is much higher for the blade's skills, and that canmake a nice little diff. yea, the glaivers will hit for more overall, but that's because a glaive has higher base damage.
it's a playstyle thing i guess, and that's all it really comes down to. i guess i just like my shield too much to give it up for some little bit more damage ^^
