ICE BOW IN PVP?????????????????????????

in pvp will a ice bow be good???? cuz if they do 2 arrow combo then 3 then 4 thats a really good chance of them freezing and frostbite keep doing that they run out of pills and then use strongbow and anti devil think they could win that way????? b/c my next build is gonna be str bow and im not sure which imbue to get and i want to be a monster killing machine and still be to able to keep up a good pvp with ppl my lvl... plz leave ur opinions on a good bow build that is good in pvp and pve

ice bow is incredible when facing someone w/out 100% immunity. For pvp, you will want to use anti-devil, followed by multi-arrows (the 4-arrow and maybe the 3-arrow), followed by berserker arrow, or something along those lines.

don't they usually start with strong bow if they are attacking first? to deal a huge amount of dmg then go anti-devil + combo.

sometimes, but strong bow takes so long that if they see you charging it up they will still manage to get a few attacks in, to possibly stun, KD, or KB you. I think for an ice bow anti-devil + arrow combo is a better way to get quick dmg on them, not to mention a good chance of getting the ice effect on them. Also, devil arrow (last book of berserker arrow) is at least as strong as strongbow, with about half the delay. GG strongbow

As Jabo didn't provide reasons for his answers I will.

Fire gives max damage.
Light gives medium damage, but shocks which lowers parry, which generally ends you giving the same amount (maybe a little less)(but like ice can become immune to) damage as fire.
Ice gives little damage, and freezes. However at later levels most if not all players are immune to ice, meaning you will end up with a low damage imbue, and no freezing effect.

berserker=>antidevil=>combos

strong bow is useless, 2 long to charge & only 500 or so more dmg than antidevil

but still, pvp at the caps against immune ppl, & it's easy to get immune w/ maxed fire shield, ice is useless

IMO, bow only pawns below lvl 30s, lol

ice bow saved my life several times when i was a newb wearing a cape at lvl16, i had no idea wat the orange cape means so i just wear it

when a lvl20 thief pass by and started attacking me so i used ice+anit devil+2 arrow (i was farming with 9 gap at lvl16) and froze him. he got no cures for freeze and i killed him with lvl7 mastery when hes like lvl20

then he kept attacking after hes res and died everytime

i think ice is good when pvp at low lvls with ppl who dont use cures

i haven't usually strongbow but from what i have seen in vids, u can get attacked before ur bow fires

when i was doing research for my archer build, ppl say strongbow is rarely used in Pvp due to its long loading time

It depends on when and where you use strong bow:

Example 1: Jobbing situation, you're somewhere and the other party haven't seen you yet. Perfect time to move away to your max range (so that it will take awhile for other party to see you and run towards you) and load up that strong bow. It deals an incredible amount of damage and can quickly bring someone down.

Example 2: PvP, if you're ice archer, always use combo first. With luck, it's a freeze, then load up strong bow and hit hard.

Example 3: PvE, if you can one-hit a mob with strong bow, then do so. However, if it takes 2 hits or more, antidevil+combo+berserker is your best choice. Strong bow is too slow when you can't one hit, and others have a great opportunity in ks-ing you.

This is assuming that you're not lvl 69ish and have the 3rd book of berserker. Then just use berserker >.>

many of my friends does strong bow when thiefting, gets some 5k crit or something......

it has been lots of times when my bow charges the beautiful fantastic Strong Bow, the golden beams of my arrow head shaking, ready to piece through any barriers in front of me....

suddenly, a fireball comes out from no where and the mob is dead.......

my bowman stood there, freezed by his own Ice Ocean...
