Guide: Great PvP Blader Build - from lvl 1 to 70!

hello everyone,

even though im new in this forums, you should read what i have written if you wanna have some Tips.

i figured that most people that choose blader, does it in order to create a great PvP player. and guess what - they are right! blader is by far the best PvP character at the higher lvls (37+).

on the other hand, The Sp farming needed to create this Character is sometimes gigantic.
i got few tips for you - How not to Farm for 2 long and still have a great PvP character.

Stat points

All stat points should go to STR. this is due the high physic attack of the blade.
i suggest Pure STR over hybrid, because at high levels, all you'll care about is how high the numbers of damage are.

Equip

I suggest Garment, since your physic def is allready high, and you need magic defence.
another thing is that your mana will run low, but with garment you'll lose 20% less mana for a skill. it will also raise ur speed by 20%!.
(protector gives 10% less lose, and armor gives none).

for start: Bicheon tree.

Strike and smash series:
gives 1-2 hits to the enemy with better damage than usual.
this skill can be good to link the chain sword attack (more details later), but if you don't want to waste time on farming, you might aswell leave it on 2 (2 is for the Sp farming).

Chain sword attack series:
gives lots of fast hits in a chain attack. (can be up to 5 hits in a row)
this skill is by far the most usefull skill of the Bicheon tree. It's a MUST, so Max it out. i suggest taking only Books number 1, 3 and 5 because numbers 2 and 4 are less hits, but also less MP. (some people say that the 4th book is better... takes less MP... think about it for yourselfs).
Plus, the skill looks AWESOME.

Shiled technique:
might be usefull at situations where you're ganged by lots of Mobs. besides that, i don't see any other use for this skill before the 3rd book. this is because this skill takes alot of time to charge.

Blade force series:
uses a range attack to attack the enemy.
i don't suggest taking this skill - remember, we are here to make PvP character, not PvE character... if you really want this skill take it to lvl 1, only for luring Mobs. this skill hae no use at PvP fights.

Hidden blade + killing heaven blade:
those two skills are VERY usefull when fighting both Mobs and People.
the hidden blade gives a chance to knock-down the other player\Mob, so he can't hit you, and other people won't be able to hit him. (good for preventing Ks).
the 2nd skill is used to Jump on the fallen enemy and strike him again!
HOW COOL IS THAT?
i suggest maxing those two skills.

Sword Dance Series:
uses range attack to hit multiple enemy.
Same as blade force series. it is useless at PvP... so don't spent your Sp on it.

Shiled protection series:Passive skill.
Adds precentage to the blocking ratio. this is A MUST. MAX it out.

Force Buffs\imbues

in this section of the blade skills, I suggest taking fire as your main imbue and lightning for the cool Buffs.
but, i do not suggest taking ice, but i'll explain bout that later on.

Fire Imbue\Buff

fire force series:
this will be your main imbue.
it has the highest attack of all 3 elements, and since bladers have low damage, you'll probably want to have this 1.
there is nothing more to say about this except for this: MAx it out!

Fire Shiled Series:
this skill helps you with status effect.
if this skill will be at high level, and with the right equip. you can get immune to ice, which means you won't freeze.
i suggest maxing this out, but its not a must if you have the money for uni pills.

Flame body series:
Increases your physical damage by certain precent. Its a MUST.
max it out.

Fire protection series:
reduces the mag. damage taken.
very useful against nukers.

Fire wall series:
make you immoblize, but obserb mag damage.
this skill is useless... don't use it at all.

Flame wave series:
Pure magical attack.
it's useless for Pure STR characters such as you and me :)

Flame devil force series:
passive skill.
raises Physic damage. MAX IT OUT.

Lightning Buffs

Thunder force series:
uselss, since you allready have the fire imbue.

Piercing force series:
increases your magical damage for up to 10%!
you should take this to increase Damage.

Wind Walk series:
increases speed for over 50%!
this skill might and WILL save your life.
1st and 3rd book are a must. the 2nd book teleports you. i'd keep this one on lvl 1.

Lion Shout:
Pure magical attack.
useless, same as flame wave series.

Concentration Series:
increases Parry ratio, which help take minimum damage.
this is a possible skill. i take it, but if you don't wanan farm to much, don't spent time on it.

Thunderbolt Series:
useless, look at lion Shout above.

Heaven force series:
Passive.
permanently increases Parry ratio.
take it only if you chose to take concentration books.

Ice

some people use this skill for the physic defence buffs (ice attack are useless since you can be immune to them).

I don't suggest taking this skill because at the highest point, where u get 87 physic defence, your total defence without this skill will be around 600 or so.
i don't think this will help you, if we concider the time taken to farm the Sp needed for this skill.

Hawks!!!

In my opinion, the black\blue hawk buff are better than the ice series or glaive series (glavie's buff gives 1000 hp) because black hawk= 250 physic attack on first book, blue 30~ attack rating.
a bonus to the damage given will be much more effective, because at high levels, nukers\archers wont be able to kill you anyways, so a 1000~ hp raise isn't that good.
from the other hand, a big damage bonus or attack rating will help you kill the nukers easly, and won't let them a chance to use potions.
(this skill is VERY uncommon for bladers. mostly on glavie, because of Attack Rate... i belive it's good).
Sp farming

I suggest farming around 15k-20k at lvl 16, and another 10k at lvl 24.
lvl 16 is on the bandits\tigers and lvl 24 might be demon horse or bugs.
ofcourse you have to do it with a 9 lvl gap, which is explaind down.

Gap level

Gap level is the difference between your highest mastery level to the characters lvl. 9 gap is if ur highest mastery is 16, your lvl should be 25.
Gap determins how much precentege of the total Exp monster gives you'll get to the Sp, and how much you'll get to Level Exp.
each lvl gap, youll get 10% more Sp than Exp. example:
Sp Xp
0 gap: ~10%-90%
1 gap: ~20%-80%
2 gap: ~30%-70%
and so on up to 9 gap which is 90%-10%.

If you want any more info, Just leave a note here, and I'll add it.

BTW, please post replys, since it's my first guide and I would like to know whats your opinion about it...
you too Sin!

Still Ice looks atractive to me. Defence is cool and not really mutch people uses fire shield phoenix so ice imbue is pretty good at pvp. Like you use ice imbue freeze enemy with chain than use fire and repeat.

Edit: btw 4 hits combo are better to pure str but yah 5 hit looks cool. I would preffer both.

To EvilOne

You're right. shiled phoenix isn't very common.
ice can be very cool too, but remember this guied is for lower SP farming... you can get ice later on if you like.

Keep it up!

If you want my advice, here it is:

farm a bit at lvl 16, have 9 gap till 24, than 7 gap till 30, than 4-5 gap the whole rest. that should give you 4 masteries (ofcourse that not with all skills...).
Pm me if u want any advices..

you spelled "Shield" wrong up there,

and one comment i have is that I'm going to learn Ice imbue on my blader purely for tanking yarkan, as he can't be knocked down, but he can be frozen (95% of people on him don't use cold, but it would help a great deal)

oh and im lvl74 (and 50%) if that means anything

One thing you should notice about your SP/EXP chart with relationship to gap that is wrong:

0. 10 90
1. 20 80
2. 30 70
3. 40 60
4. 50 50
5. 60 40
6. 70 30
7. 80 20
8. 90 10
9. ?? ??

Why? These skills have good damage. I think they are useful even in pvp. Maybe depends style you play. I of course understand if you are blader you can just run to you enemy and knock him down and start slashing, but i think this may be quite useful in some situations. But just my opinion :).

But nice and simple guide! Good work :)

Thx to every1 who wrote! keep on going!

btw, here are some answers:
the range attack aren't usefull while fighting some1... can be only good as a starting hit.
remember, this guide is only for LOW sp farming.
i don't think you should waste so much time farming.
and for you EvilOne, i ment 4-5 gao till 50~, than 0 gap the whole rest :P

please...a blader with mediocre gear can outlast a glaiver with good gear. It would take two glaivers with good gear to take down a non-retarded blader.
