Hey, I read somewhere on the forums that if you go pure int, a sword+shield nuker is a better choice than spear. Is this true? Because I planned on going pure int + spear.

(Btw, im a newb. How do nukers work, do they just fire off nuke spells and weapons dont play into it, or what?)

sword+shield is supposedly better in pvp because if they have a good shield (w/ good block) and with castle wall, it's harder to kill them.

however, I think spears grind faster generally (spears hit higher), and they have more hp, so better for pve.

they still use weapons, just not weapon skills.

a lot of people go pure int spear, and you can still use wep skills in PvP... how well do you think an int build would do w/out stun or KB??

I was saying that nukers usually don't use weapon skills at all when grinding because they 1-hit most things. Certainly, in pvp they do.

Im a lvl 76 spear nuker,pure int,and its a good build,fire/ice/light/spear...

If I could remake my char from day one,I wouldn't take ice,and id get heauksal to 60,for the HP bonus,and then max the Bicheon skills,and fire and light.Pvping against a s/s nuker is a pain in the a$$ because its just block block KD stab stab block block ... and eventually I get lucky and land a stun and a nuke and they die,but pvping against a high BR shield is almost impossible.

Why I say take the spear to 60 over ice, Ice isn't good except for the physical buff,since your s/s you have a nice shield so that is a lot better than the physical buff anyways.Also, you can grind using a spear or s/s..whatever you want,but in PVP id go with the s/s and max KD and stab,and get all your nukes ect ect,if I was going to make a new char,this is what I would definately do.
