i'm at lvl 32 pure int spear user with light imbue at book 2 lvl 3, i want to be a nuker so i already got lion shout and thunderbolt, but i started readin posts saying fire imbue with any nuke deals more damage, so i'm considering deleveling the light imbue and switch to fire imbue.
u guys think i shoud switch and around how many sp i need to save up for it?
also, if i switch then should i keep maxing the other skills in lighting? and should i get any other skills in the fire tree?
should i change imbue from light to fire

you're lvl32. don't delvl your light. you'll be AGES before you need the SP you get from it. if you really want fire, save your money on the delvl costs and just pump the fire imbue. however, i find that light imbue is pretty effective for a pure int. the dmg differences are small.

Thx IceCrash for my awesome sig :)

i disagree ^_^ i dont lag too much , but when i do i can see your point, but you can level quite fast if u hunt mobs that u can 1 hit.. and lighting is a nice nuke for mobs.
but why not geth both? i do.
nearly lvl 30 with fire and ligtening imbue's .. ncie to be able to vary.. good way is lightenign for mbos cos of the area effect, fire for giants and big ass b!tches... litttle extra burn =)

I've found the AoE damage useful while SP farming bandits. While going after a bandit giant, you end up taking out 3-4 other badits without even attacking them.
Assuming you've got your inv full of HP pots (which I usually do

I agree. What most people don't realize is that when you cast a fire nuke with the lightning imbue, you still get AoE damage from the imbue. That doesn't really fit with the point of the fire nuke as your first strike at range; you don't want to start pulling mobs toward you before you even have a chance to set off your second nuke.
I also have the lightning imbue, book three, on my level 34 nuker. I'm using it for now because I don't have the SP for the fire imbue, but I don't plan to delevel it because it's still useful for killing lower-level mobs when a nuke would just be a waste of mana. If I ever get near the level cap I'll farm up the SP to max both imbues; I have the mastery anyway for the nukes.
