Nuker/Healer

Hi, I'm pretty new to SR and I've been following these two guides, http://www.silkroadforums.com/viewtopic ... 95&start=0 and http://www.silkroadforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=9864, and I decided to restart my char to sp farm and create a nuker. Thing is my friend is a nuker, and we usually play together, so I also want something that would make us a good team. I was just wandering if a nuker/healer would work, or maybe something different all together, I'm open to suggestions. (Though bare in mind I've already spent points on int.)

Thanks for you replies.

I would say that a nuker/healer is NOT a good combination due to the fact that a healer is a person who needs to survive, while pure int nukers (well perhaps a hybrid can?) have relatively low HP to survive 1-2 good hits/nukes when jobbing/pvp'ing and/or going after Uniques.
Since you already have put some points in INT, perhaps a nicely balanced int hybrid might be able to survive more then a few hits. (I would suggest a S/S combo then for even more survivability) and be an average healer.
I would still say that a FULL str. build is better for making a healer though.

I think a nuker/healer is an interesting build but it doesn´t make much sense. A character who is able to heal and res can be very important for a group.
The problem is that his healing techniques only make sense if he lives longer then the other party members. A healer must be realy hard to kill.
Imagine a group PvP-fight. If your enemies realize you can heal, you will be a primary target. As a Nuker with low life you will go down immediately.

Don´t get me wrong. I think it´s great if players leave this ME-ME-ME-attitude (wich is really typical for most SRO-players) and try to be important as a group member.

If you realy wanna be a healer, make a blader-healer. Bladers are without doubt the characters that have the best defence-qualities by far. Max out bicheon, force and fire for the nice buffs and the imbue and get a bit lite (30-35) for some speed and parry-ratio.

You have to decide. As as an eficient healer you have to be a tank. You can´t be tank and nuker.

Something like pure str 80 bicheon/hekusal 80 ligtning/fire 69 force 71 ice/hekusal/fire/lightning might work. Its not a recommended build but...
I have some people in my union with high level force. They are realy good to have in union trades or when you are theifing/hunting. If you are not selfish and don't mind you are not the best in pvp. Go ahead :) .
And no I havnent asked the builds from my union mates. But I could if someone is interested.

Thanks very much for your help guys. So far my new account is level 7, with 292 hp and 495 mp (106 sp). Do you think that's too far gone to turn it into a str blade/healer? I'm not sure but if some people on here think it is I'll just leave it as a normal nuker.

Well since you are only lvl 7, you have 2 choices. Either keep this one pure int or make a hybrid int and start a new char with full str and make it a blader? I mean 7 lvls are like 1h or less?

most of the rezzer/healers i know are ints for some reason :D.

they not a pvp build, a help build. they grind with therapy and self heal = compensates everything.

Personal opinion:

I think full str (or near) bowers are great healers. They are already standing back with a good view of the action and have a ton of HP. Me and my guild master are both str bowers and both healers.

Int + healer would be less effective in theory but as lots of things in this game, theory and reality are often different because every player is different.
