ok, after tons of trail and error, i found out how the fan storm really works.
its like a temporary buff, as short as an imbue. the frist book suks, just get it to level 1. now the good stuff, the second book. it works like hell in pvp. activate it, then attack somthing. THE FAN STORM IS STILL ACTIVE! now the second book has a probability to actually block nukes, giving glaviers a temporary shield! the only downside is that the charge time for it is like 10-15 seconds, but this could seriously save your butt during a int nuke vs. str

Its only prevents magical attacks.

yea bloody fan storm prevents magical and castle shield from bicheon tree prevents physical

umm yeah but the 3rd book when maxed reduces damage by A LOT, and unlike the block which doesn't always block, the 3rd book reduces damage consistently

ist a gd skill vs an int.

Can someone tell me how long these books last (1st, 2nd, and 3rd books)?

By using 10-15 seconds to cast the buff you're probably already dead xD.
Not to mention the skrewed up graphics too =\

most people cast buffs before combat, and fan storm is instant cast (longish cooldown), but its enough to help against the first nuke and the subesquent lion shout, giving you time to get in 2 attacks of your own.

From what I've seen it looks useful.

no ones mentioned that this was quite recently changed it used to be an utterly useless skill where you stood still spinning your spear acting as a tank... yes it can be very useful now if used at the right time

you can still move and use skills and stuff while the fan is going....
