I'm lvl 49 Pure Str Lightning and Just wondering What everyone thinks,

Almost every Pure Str Glav i have seen had a Fire based Build.

I personally Hate fire and wanted to be different,

I can easily own Pure Str Glav players With fire to equal or close lvl.

Not sure the difference between Fire and Lightning, and cant see what everyones Raving about fire for.

Give me some comments to make me feal Happy

Fire does more dmg. End.

But the difference is not that big. Once again, it comes to personal preference.

1on1 you probably will lose equal fights vs a fire user same build same level/gear
but on guild wars or jobs you will do better

just test it when you are capped and got some sp to waste you might end up liking fire instead of light

you can still pawn pure str fire even if you're pure str light because lightning imbues can reduce parry but it can be pill though... xD

hit+reduce parry gives a lot of damage..

it's a matter of choice though...

If you beat someone in pvp with it it doesnt mean its better
The guy could of had npc gear

I dont like fire at all. So im stickin with light.

Plus if i switched to fire. that would cost So much gold and curst hearts and Sp

This game's about damage, even a little more does good.

You know, people say light glavie is bad. I leveled a light based blader to lv 45.... I honestly liked it. I colud easily kill ice bladers and actually, only a few fire bladers killed me. Light blade not so bad, but not great either. Just think what a double stab does, when the guy is electric shocked. Light glavie not bad , but not very good either. If you choose lightning as your main imbue, you still need the fire buffs for phys. attack. So you still have to level fire. If you say your really DONT like fire, light is ok too.

What server are you in I will hump you with fire

Its all up to you which imbue.

Fire has more Consistent Damage, and it (usually) have higher damage than the other imbues...

Light has Higher Potential Damage...not as consistent...but it does have parry affects...

Yea I still lvl fire for the buffs and passive, It helps

Same here. I think there aren't enough Str/Lightning characters out there. I have a lvl 31 pure str/light blader. Again, its personal preference but I prefer lightning imbue even though its weaker. Does the fire imbue have tranfers as well? Anyway, the difference is that lightning reduces parry while fire adds additional dmg overtime to the enemy. So I think all, maybe even ice, have advantages and weaknesses.

ok im fire glaive lvl 50 and no light glavie or ice glavie even gets me half hp in a pvp so fire glavie owns

lol fire isnt the best one in pvp, it depends in what you like

but if you dont want to go fire, i prefer lighting that ice... cause you have a lot of buffs very good in lighting

well, light imo is still weaker than fire, but the good thing is ur only doing 2 masteries, so not much farming, ^^

but combine fire's phy.attk passive/buffs w/ light's mag.attk buff == harder hitting pure str

& yea, i'll hump u w/ fire 2

when you do get higher lvl your dmg will start to suffer more and more, and maybe, just maybe you will realize you need lvl 60 fire for the passive + buff

how much mana do you have??? i want to build pure str glaive either fire or light...but im worried that later on i woont have enough mana and also what are some good skills to use.....and what level should i stop leveling...i dunno much bout glaive im a blader =\

Okay, I would get both Fire and Light. Both have their ups and downs. Fire does deal more direct damage and does but but Light will lower the persons parry and you will deal alot more damage than normal. I personly dont think Light would be the best for glaive I would use it for an Int Sword and thats about it. But you should get the Fire Imbue aswell as the Light and just switch off and experiment if you want. ^^
