about having a wolf

hi i just want to ask is it worth it to have a wolf? even in 60+ is it worth it? having a wolf is very expensive and the maintainance too... can the wolf helps you on sp farming coz it gives adtional damage? by the way im an archer and the monster died before it reaches to me..

wolfs are really helpful when fighting uniques or doing jobs and wars.. i know my wolf has saved me a few times but im a pure int so i dont know.. it all depends on if you are going to want one or not.

I heard that nukers don't really need a wolf since nukes are long range. Only bladers or glaives should get the wolf.

I was kind of disappointed when I first got my wolf. Damage from wolf is pretty bad.

However, I just saw 2 glaives (1 fire and 1 cold) and a fire blader [lvls unknown] were trying to kill a lvl 5x wolf, they were only doing 2x dmgs to it.

So I guess it sucks at low level? Better than higher?

My wolf was attacking monsters at its level, I am not a retard and use a lvl 12 wolf to attack devil bugs

When you first get it you will think:
"Wow, he suxx"

Then you lvl it up some, and when the wolf is like 2-5 lvls under the mobs lvl you think:
"It doesnt get so much better, but now it doesnt die anyways... Still it Suxx!"

Then when the wolf is at mobs lvl/your lvl:
"WOW! That mob that took me 3 hits now only takes 2 hits!!! Grinding go soo much faster!!"

This is for STR chars at least

If you can make it trough the first 2 steps your gonna be happy, but many sell their wolfs before that...

wolves get old when grinding. VERY Useful if you dont have sox gear and cant fight red mobs, but if your going to fight red mobs, it will die, and you will lose alot of money lol.

Your wolf wont help you later on dmg wise on mobs, but in job wars, its like having triple stab(more like double stab and a half) if your a blader.
Good thing too, in jobbing, if u see a thief/hutnter/trader that is -10 or more your lvl, your wolf can easily kill it.
