Here's the deal. I started a pure INT character, and I'm loving it. So far I've just added sp into Lightning and Heuksal, so I can level FAST. After lvl 30 I'll let the gap grow and eventually farm for weeks at lvl 42, when I have my dual nukes and stuff and I'm high enough lvl to be able to have some fun as a thief or hunter.

What I want to know is: can you be a nuker without any weapon skills? Because I really want to get Force, but I also want Fire, Lightning AND Ice pretty much maxed out. Or will I need my spear skills? I'm thinking that three nukes + Lion Shout SHOULD be enough to kill any monsters, but how will I do in PvP? Will my character suck there or not?

youre gonna need soul and ghost spear at a minimum. plus the spear passive helps a lot. i doubt any spear user out there just does pure nuking.

No-one really does pure nuking, though it is possible. But i wouldn't advice it, u'll miss some powerfull skills and not to mention the HP passive.

Right, I forgot about the passive.

The question then is: do I choose Ice or Force...I love being able to ressurect and heal people, but Ice would help if I maxed it, I think...

Personally I would go with ice because i see no point in force but then if you want to be a healer/resser go with force.

Yeah, but how effective is a pure INT healer? I suppose in PvP or when fighting uniques you can be of assictance if you stay in the back.

How good are the Ice passives and buffs at high levels?

In my opinion,the lvl 68 ice buff is awesome,and lvl 60 cold passive is awesome to,as for force,there is nothing good about it.Get ice to 68 and screw force,im a 62 nuker now and have all my skills(ice fire light spear) at 55 and am farming at yeti's,saving enough sp to get all the things I want.

Not entirely true, force can be good, people value it different.

Anyway, i'd also choose ice, but that's personal preference

nuke then every lion shout you have, if you dont want to farm sp for spear skills

yes my old char had only ligh n fire.. the only 2 skill i used had no sp for other n i farm 15ked

Ice or Force for Pure Int Char? I would go ice cuz effective healers are pure str cuz they can stand all that damage while they heal. Are you going to switch to sword later?

I don't plan on doing it, unless I get to lvl 80/90/whatever the cap is and feel that PvP is something I want to do more. But I will most likely stick to spear and just be a supporting player in PvP.

Well if your going spear, Definitely get Ice.

You need defense, the reasons why:
-Being Pure Int, you have low hp
-You don't have defense of a shield cuz your a spear user.

Int healers are just plain bad, you cant rez if ur dead.

Yup, best build for healers are Pure Str Bladers & Pure Str Archer.
