pvp related questions

im new to the game, and im mostly interested in PVP.
my first question is plain and simple: will I be able to put up some decent fight before hitting high levels(6x)?
and if so can i do it even with a hybrid int build? or is a pure str just better in this case?
my second question may sound a bit weird:
is there any PVP skills in this game? cause atm i feel like its just some random nuke spam.. i feel like the winner is
decided by gear and farmed sp and not by skills. (if not by level gap, but thats the 1st question
---
this is a nice comunity, unlike many others where ppl stopped by just to whine and flame. i'm glad.
since this is my first post i felt i just had to point that out.

no pvp skills, just random nuke spams.
and yes the winner is mostly the one with the best gear, in isro current status that being at least (sos) +5 equip and farmed sp (all skills maxed).
does blow when i think about it, but been playing the game for so long to just lay it aside... otherwise i would have never touched sro rofl

Ok here is what you do.
1.)Get to 80 when cap raises.
2.) get all seal of sun +9 weapons , shield, clothing, accesories. etc
3.) Get into a really big famous guild with all 70-80's. get a good union also. ( you always have back up.)
4.) get fully farmed
5.) have LOTS of luck and a nice berzerker bar thast always full.
::::::THE OUTCOME OF THIS::::::
You'll have a 99.9% chance of winning
- PERIOD- NO QUESTIONS - JUST PERIOD-

this is totally wrong, u think u can beat anyone by just nuking, if u dont know how to put up a firewall, or knockdown, or stunning, i think u'll die fast against other tanker

then my guess was right
and i suppose same goes for group pvp.
theres no skill even there, the max one can do to help teammates
is just spam an heal skill or nuke their targets.
most of the things that could make a difference in pvp like stuns/freeze
are random factors, thus leavin little space to skill and more to luck.
is this correct?

sorry but isn't knockdown another % factor? in such case luck saved your life not kd, nor skill.

The Kd skill has a chance of 50% (i think

) of knocking the enemy down so technically the skill saved you because without that skill, the enemy wouldnt be in the floor

this game is all about standards and the standards are set.
1. is the lvl
2.is your farmed masteries.
3.is your equipment.
if you have the highest from that, you will win every pvp below your lvl, and you will have 80% of winning pvp's at your lvl considering that your opponent doesnt have the same gear as you.
theres no skills involved in this game, everything is pre-determined. if you want skills, you play FPS. which i just cant wait for the next big fps.

lol, dont ACT like sro has ANYTHING to do with player-side skill, it's ALL items and lvl - meaning that even if you are a better gamer then the one you are fighting, if he has better gear, you will still lose

So let's take an exemple : 2 persons with same gear, same build, same lvl; 1 has good fighting skill, 1 is a noob (never played sro) just bought an account lv 70.
So will the person has better pvp skill win? Or it's a draw game, 50% win 50% lose? Just say yes or no.
And i dont want to hear : yes, but....

thats the dumbest comparison ever.

Yes you can't compare it like that, PvP is based on
1.Your characters skills
2.Equipment
3.Your experience with the game
Although it does take some experience, it isn't that hard to figure out which buttons to mash. Now your equipment and your build have much more influence on how well you do in PvP.

If you want a strong PvP character, make a full STR Glavier. Or blader... Those are your best choices. Nukers are too delicate with non sos/m/sun gear. Full STR can take alot of punishment and have suprising crits that may win you the battle. Though they aren't very fast at lvling.
Anyway, you should have checked the character skills section first =///

Because it's a dumbest comparison that revealed the answer easily : the game need charater own skill. So stop talking about bullshit like CodeOfSilence and CaptainObvious. Comparing 2 characters with different gear, then jump to a conclusion that there is no self skill.... That only proof that the self skill is less important than gear, but it
didnt proof that skill
doesnt exist

In my opinion it's determined by the following:
1. Level. Of course if a person is higher level then the person they are fighting the percentage they will win goes up.
2. Equipment. Better equipment will allow a person to do more damage per attack and take less damage per enemy attack.
3. Build. I am STR hybrid Blade. My friend is full INT Sword. When we PvP chances are I will take him out; I have enough health to stand his attacks, but he doesn't when I chain and get some crits.
4. Level gap. Higher skills will do more damage.

If you want player side skill, then stop playing MMORPG. Go play Rakion or Gunbound. They require player skill. An MMORPG is for you to relax. Don't need to think much. Just click click click.
