HYBRID INT SWORD/SHIELD. Believe it or not. this build WORKS

I've been looking into hybrid int sword like a 1:2 INT or 1:3 INT. My build will look something like this. and Uses anywhere from 186,000 sp to 235,000 sp.

(Bicheon Mastery 70)
CHAIN SWORD ATTACK SERIES
Illusions Chain MAX
Blood Chain MAX (unless you just want to take book 1,3,and 5)
Billow Chain MAX
Ascension Chain MAX (see reason under 2nd chain)
Heaven Chain MAX

BLADE FORCE SERIES (take these in stead of shock lion shout because they will probably do more damage as you will benefit from the imbue and the physical damage attached to the skills)
Soul Cut MAX
Evil Cut MAX
Devil Cut MAX

HIDDEN BLADE SERIES (Knock-downs a MUST)
Blood Blade Force MAX (or level it just till you get to book 2 and leave it at lvl 10 or 11)
Soul Blade Force MAX
Demon Blade Force MAX

KILLING HEAVEN BLADE SERIES (Stabs, which are follow ups for your KD)
Flower Bloom Blade MAX
Flower Bud Blade MAX
Dragon Sore Blade MAX (hey we should all want to hit someone twice while they are groaning in agony on the ground.)

SWORD DANCE SERIES (optional, but an aoe version of blade force. I like 'em)

SHIELD PROTECTION SERIES (PASSIVE)
MAX this as it increase your % chance to block.

FIRE FORCE SERIES (your imbue....source of massive damage)
River fire force MAX

FIRE SHIELD SERIES (this saves on pills and money....also good in pvp. not so much for grinding. its optional but if you do take it. max it all)

FLAME BODY SERIES (increases physical damage by a %, as your a hybrid you'll want this)
Flame Body-Wisdom MAX
Flame Body-Power MAX
Flame Body-Extreme MAX

FIRE PROTECTION SERIES (adds magical defense.....get this. you'll have as much magic defense as pure int)
Basic fire protection MAX
Divine fire protection MAX
Hard fire protection MAX

FLAME WAVE SERIES (AKA your nukes. since you won't be taking lightning nukes i suggest maxing all 3 books.)
Flame Wave-Arrow MAX
Flame Wave-Burning MAX
Flame Wave-Wide MAX

FLAME DEVIL FORCE SERIES (PASSIVE. Again. this gives you physical damage increase by a certain %. Get it)
Flame Devil Foce MAX

maxing 3 trees also allows you to play with the build. if you want to add cold go right ahead. or just save the extra 90 masteries for when they raise the level cap.

save yourself some sp, and delevel book 1 fire nuke to level 1, since you only need level 1 to get book 2/3

btw, light nuke are good when you can 1 hit stuff, and especially at penons, where mobs are sometimes quite crowded, you'd prob kill 2 at a time

imo, blade force wont do as much damage as opening with a nuke instead

unless, open nuke, then 3rd book devil cut is quite good, as devil cut delay isnt long, but means more sp farming

Nice Post. I'm an int hybrid and I was thinking along those same lines.

But why not light nuke? Like Lance said, the overflow'll help.

And what about lion shout? Should that just be thrown to the side without thought?

I think he meant that blade force with imbue would deal more damage than using lion shout.

i didnt notice lion shout

lion shout cast time is ALOT faster than blade force, but you will have to farm more sp

let say this hybrid is not too int heavy(maybe in the end mag 85% with alchemy).will chain do any good in pvp?

i also wonder what is the most killing move for blader:P since KD+stab is too boring but effective in pvp...

i am making int hybrid sword too but now holding a spear,dont want to switch till heuksal passive is pass :wink:

lol, as hybrid sword+shield using knockdown, stab, chains, whatever, u wont be able to kill any good full str chars (believe me). u cant kill int chars too, because they have high magical defense. my suggestion is u go hybrid spear.
